Cardinals with the decisive 9-0 win over the Pirates. Only fitting considering today, Opening Day, is my late Grandpa's birthday and he played for the Cardinals minor leagues back in the day.

Happy Birthday Pawpaw....the boys got you a win.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Mets improve their opening day record to 40-21, what’s even more impressive is that they lost their first eight openers. Three Mets got hit tonight including Alonso in the shoulder/face so this could be a chippy series. Pretty cool that they open the series with six straight games

Absolutely brutal missed call by Vanover behind the dish on the pitch before the no-no was broken up. Won't be much talk about it since the hit was erased on a DP - and there was also another hit down the line in the inning.

Rendon just missed a go ahead homerun by inches and then proceeded to ground into a DP next pitch. That's tough.

                          Fireworks in Phoenix.

Somewhere there has to be a pun with Beer hitting a walkoff. I'm just not smart enough to come up with it.

Well that was a disaster of a debut for Swarez to try and close it out.

Seth Beer with the walk off 3 run homer.

Why didn't they just use rogers who they traded for for this very reason?

The Padres are going to have a losing season this year. Way to go Fernando, way to go Preller.
