Trevor Story with back to back 2-run home runs.

I think he's starting to get used to Fenway.

EDIT: A three homer night for Trevor. Add in a single, and Story was 4-4 plus a walk, with 7 RBI.

Matthew Liberatore and Nolan Gorman called up to St.Louis.

      Tyler O'Neill to the IL

Gorman is expected to start at 2B today with Edman sliding over to SS.

Small sample size, but I like what I've seen out if Christopher Morel so far. Obviously he had an epic first AB, but he is much more "toolsy" than I really thought. Hes been a middling prospect in the Cubs organization for quite some time now, so I didn't realize hes still only 22. I guess he didn't ever have a breakout season to put him on the radar, but he should have a pretty solid floor of a super-utility guy. I hope the keep getting him ABs. Should be easier after the trade deadline if they can get rid of Villar/Simmons (or if everyone stays hurt)

And this was before he just went back to back with Vargas! The kid is electric!

What it must feel like to be Connor Overton and Alexis Diaz.

Both their ERAs are below 2 in a combined 42IP.

The rest of the Reds ERA is around 6.

Trevor Story followed up his performance last night with a 3rd inning Grand Slam.

He alone has 11 RBI in the Sox' last 11 innings.

EDIT: And it was caught by former Red Sox OFer Jonny Gomes, who is sitting in the Green Monster tonight.

Definitely wasn’t expecting the Mets to get snowed out in mid May but I guess anything can happen in Colorado

High school baseball state playoffs start tomorrow and we're snowed out across almost the entire state. This is dumb

Nolan Gorman collected his first big league hit last night.

I think the question will be whether the organization views Edman as our SS going forward or they want to explore outside the organization

Adley Rutschman got called up for the Orioles

Semi-related I saw a funny tweet that said "I think this Soto kid is gonna be pretty good once he's Adley Rutschman's age"

Not an exact quote but I couldn't find the tweet again this morning

Reminds me of how Bryce Harper has been in the league for a decade, and he's younger than Aaron Judge.

Judge feels like he’s way older than he should be, doesn’t seem like he’s been around long enough to be 30 already

I was looking at the Ump Scorecard website and one result wasn't surprising at all.

The ump with the biggest run impact, and also the least consistent ump, and also one of the most inaccurate umps, CB Bucknor.

I don’t like it, but as long as it’s here I’m surprised teams don’t alter their late game strategy. Traditionally in a tie game at home you pitch your closer in the 9th. If my closer is a high strikeout rate guy I’d be inclined to save him for the 10th and see if he can work his way out of the inning without the free runner scoring and set you up for what should be an easy run to score and win the game
