DeGrom is something else. What a performance.

    Edit: Well, 2 run homer.

Those first 5 2/3 were as dominant as he ever looked. The way he can pinpoint his slider to his glove side is something I’ve never seen

What a series, I’m feeling good with a 6.5 game lead to give some breathing room heading in to 13 straight vs the Phillies, Braves, and Yankees after three with the Reds

Yankees now with just a 9.5 game lead over 2nd in the AL East.

First time in 2 months that's been the case.

I mean, isn't great numbers mixed with an underwhelming win% thanks to his team been the story of his career?

It's so effective because he can locate his FB at 100+ there, too. Guys have no choice but to swing because of how well he commands his FB.

His combination of velocity/command is incredible

No, they've been playing like **** for a while save for a couple of series against ****** teams. No team collapses epically like a AJ Preller run team, but one can hope he finally gets canned.

what a tough way to give up the go-ahead, eventual winning run, by the Twins. I know its the rule and all, but damn that's a tough ruling to accept.

That's a MUCH calmer take on the ending than Rocco Baldelli

I would've reacted at the same level as Rocco Baldelli had the outcome had a direct impact on me as a coach, player, or fan, but it didn't so....

I don't blame Rocco for being extremely frustrated.

I was wondering why Baldelli was yelling at the umpires on the field like a maniac.

Dude, they called him out. You're yelling at the wrong guys.

I thought it was a pretty clear example of a catcher blocking the plate. Had this been the 1980s, Sanchez would have been run over and someone would have been carted off the field.

He stated in his post game press conference that he wasn't blaming the umpires at the game, but rather the officials in New York who overturned the call.

Too bad it wasn't the 1980s so that these judgmental calls wouldn't have to be made.

                                102 mph fastball, followed by a 95 mph slider....that's f****** ridiculous.
