Rob Black doing Jay games = Hitting the mute button

I'm surprised Jamie Campbell is the new pby guy for Sportsnet. He doesn't have any experience calling baseball games. But he's fairly young and is a huge baseball fan so I'm hoping he does a good job.

BTW Batista has been named the new closer. Chacin has made the team.

I'm not a fan of Batista as the closer. Having a pitcher that has control issues and doesn't strike guys out is a recipe for disaster for that role.

The Jays got smoked tonight by the Yanks. I'm sure the marketing guys wished tonights game wasn't on tv.

As far as i'm concerned it wasn't on tv As soon as I saw that it was a simulcast of YES network I tuned out. Jim Kaat makes Michael Kay bearable but they're far too much of a homer network when I want to get to know about my Jays.

Actually Kay and Kaat were very complementary of the Jays. They spoke highly of Wells. They had positive comments about Hudson, Chacin, and Gibbons.

But on the negative side they side Koch was the highest paid Jay at 6.3 mil.

I think the Yankee announcers were more excited to see Justin Singleton in the game than anything else in the whole game (he's the son of their broadcast colleague and ex-Expo/Oriole Ken Singleton).

They're kind of pulling a Kelvim Escobar with Miguel Batista, it seems .. starter-closer-starter-closer. So I guess this means the rotation to start with will be Halladay, Lilly, Bush, Chacin, Towers, unless I missed somebody.

Seinfeld Season 4 .. out on DVD May 17!
