And that diving play where he went into the stands? At least half of the shortstops make that play, including Miguel Tejada, without having to dive into the stands, as they have better range than Jeter. Granted, he sacrificed his body and all, I'm just saying it was a pretty over rated play.

While Jeter puts up a better OBP than Tejada, Tejada is a better fielder, puts up a better SLG% and OPS and last year, and put up a better batting average. The fact that Jeter has a better OBP may be because he had better protection, like Sheffield and A-Rod, although, Tejada protection wasn't to shabby with Lopez and Mora (though I don't know what the actual order was).

Here's both Jeter and Tejada's 3 year averages (in that order)

"Intangibles" don't count for that much of a difference, in my opinion.

true, he didn't have his best postseason last year but he has come through the clutch so many times before. How can anyone forget the play against Oakland that literally saved their season. The fact is, Jeter is just one of the smartest ballplayers out there. You rarely see him make any mental mistakes. He might not have the pure talent that others do, but he doesn't do much wrong.

All of this is true, but I don't think he does quite enough to make him the best shortstop in the AL East. Besides, he's not even the best shortstop on his team.

Sorry in advance for getting a little off topic.

I felt that play against Oakland was over rated as well. It was a great flip and all, but it was more of a bad play on Jeremy Giambi's part not to slide. If Giambi isn't loafing his was to home the play wouldn't have even been close, and that highlight would just be considered a "nice try".

Well, Jeter strikes out a lot and isn't great in the hole. I like Jeter and all as a player, but I think Tejada is the best shortstop in the league now that Arod is a third baseman. He hits for power, plays a gold glove calibre defense, and is a strong clubhouse presence. He's worked himself to the top of the ladder in my opinion.

I'll just speak of what I know the best

                                AL Central: Carlos Guillen

                                It isnt even close
I creating Ryan Langarhans and put him in the braves roster, but not only my entire braves roster changed but other teams roster changed too. Why is that. Now if the braves or other teams trade or sign players, there will be no point for chsnging it. If u don't have online like me, u be sad too.
