Yes he did, although he stuttered towards the end of the season.

About the NL East, it is very close between Furcal and Rollins. Now I haven't watched those two enough to distinguish who may be better, but on paper you'd be gietting fits trying to determine who the better one is.

And that diving play where he went into the stands? At least half of the shortstops make that play, including Miguel Tejada, without having to dive into the stands, as they have better range than Jeter. Granted, he sacrificed his body and all, I'm just saying it was a pretty over rated play.

While Jeter puts up a better OBP than Tejada, Tejada is a better fielder, puts up a better SLG% and OPS and last year, and put up a better batting average. The fact that Jeter has a better OBP may be because he had better protection, like Sheffield and A-Rod, although, Tejada protection wasn't to shabby with Lopez and Mora (though I don't know what the actual order was).

He hits for power, plays a gold glove calibre defense, and is a strong clubhouse presence. He's worked himself to the top of the ladder in my opinion.
Jeter doesn't strike out that much, maybe 100x a year, wich I don't think is all that high, its a little elaveted but not that high. A-Rod is someone who strikes out a ton.

Well, Jeter strikes out a lot and isn't great in the hole. I like Jeter and all as a player, but I think Tejada is the best shortstop in the league now that Arod is a third baseman.

Nah, I think the bar is upt to 150 for someone who strikes out a lot. 100 seems average all of a sudden.
