He's through 7 with no hits but is almost certainly done at 109. This is gonna have to be the combined variety.

Real nice catch by Harris to keep it alive in the 7th

So what do you do with this Cubs-Pirates game if the rain doesn't stop? Despite Skenes' domination it is now a 6-6 ballgame in the top of the 5th with 2 outs. Not an official game despite the fact it would have been one had the Pirates gotten one more out before the Cubs tied it. The whole game could be wiped out or we could have the rare "suspended" game situation.

You'd think as a Pirate fan I've seen everything. Every way to lose. But when you walk four batters in a row with the bases loaded, it's one for the checklist.

I've run out of things to say about how mediocre they're.

How in the hell do you walk SIX, I repeat SIX runs in?! In one damn inning.

Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Hudson, Fried, Strider, … yet the only two Braves no-hitters thrown in the 42 years I’ve been watching were in games started by Kent Mercker. Amazing.

This is one of the craziest games I've seen in a long time, and there's still 3 innings left.

How long did the 6th inning last? Felt like I looked at that an hour ago and it was still the 6th inning.

It was stuck in the 5th for about 3 hours thanks to the pirates wildness + a 2 hour plus rain delay. Then the Cubs got another 2 runs when the game resumed, but the pirates got 3 on a grandal homer and added one more since.

Did I get all that right?

6th inning was comparatively much shorter.

Pirates hold on for a bizarre 10-9 win.

Well he finished dead last a year ago and got a two year extension. So I’m guessing another last place finish would get him a lifetime contract.

Mike Shildt won games and we fired him. Marmol is taking the club to new lows and we’re giving him extensions.

That swing might get Torres going. Huge 3 run bomb for the Yankees and Gleyber.

AJ Minter is a very good relief pitcher, but a terrible closer.
