I hope no one drafts him. No rookie who is as unproven as he is should expect to get 4 million.

This reminds of this one pitcher a few years back, but I can't remember his name.

            ..what a post.

Anyway - what a fruit. Boras is his agent, correct?

Really, this one pitcher drafted out who thought he was a big shot held out for more money, refused to sign with anyone he drafted and now he's out of baseball. It was a few years ago but I can't remember his name. I'll see if I can look it up.

BTW, you are correct, Boras is his agent. One reason why the Padres didn't go after him.

I don't blame the Pads at all, either.

Although I don't always agree w/ what Boras does, I definitely respect what he does as an agent. He gets the job done w/ his players. However, in this case, just get the first contract out of the way, THEN go after the big bucks.

Indeed he should've done that, but sometimes people get to greedy and try to get more. I don't expect him to get picked high this year nor do I expect him to get the same amount offered to him.

Baseball needs to have a draft system like the NBA and NFL where you are slotted in the draft and you get paid what the chart says you do. No holdouts and everyone gets what they should until they prove themselves. Just another way tha the MLB is far behind the NFL.
