Blue Jays dollar hot dog nights are crazy over here. Some people literally go to the game mainly for the dollar hot dogs.

And for $12, you could probably get yourself a bottle of water here.

Jays a while back dealt Horwitz in a deal to Cleveland for Gimenez and Sandlin

Guardians then immediately flipped him to the Pirates for 2 prospects and Luis Ortiz

Pirates announced at the start of their camp that Horwitz will undergo surgery for a chronic wrist injury and the timeline has him missing ST and likely opening day.

At first you'd wonder if this was another Hornets/Lakers situation where the team rushing to deal him did so knowing he was hurt and maximize value for him.

Turns out that was the case AND Cleveland/Pittsburgh knew that going into their trades.

That's what makes it even crazier. At the time of the deal everyone said the Jays won it. And then Cleveland immediately flipping him to the Pirates and getting a decent return for him too (but still not as good as the return they gave up for him), all for us to see that it happened while these teams knew he was hurt.

And Cherrington said they knew his health status when making the deal.....

So who comes out looking worse here. Cleveland for giving up Gimenez and Sandlin for what was basically 3 prospects and a roster player, or Pittsburgh for giving up 2 prospects and a roster player for a guy who's hurt?

Now, does he play 2B or 3B? Does Devers move to 1B or DH? Do we deal Casas and Yoshida to Seattle for Castillo? Or do we just go for it as is?? So many things could happen!

I agree.

However, we have Grissom, Hamilton, Campbell all ready for 2B.

I could easily see us moving Casas some point this year. Especially when Campbell comes up.

It appears Detroit was the 6/171 that Bregman turned down.

The plan is for Bregman to start the season at 2nd.
