Speaking of Jays, that ump scorecard is something. +2 for Boston in a 4-3 game. How long until they fully implement ABS/challenges?

Also, I'm surprised at the call accuracy overall. 97% of balls have been called as balls but only 88% of strikes have been called as strikes.

Terrible home plate calling. However, on the same day a rarity did occur. From one extreme to the other.

Another instance of a fan grabbing a ball from a player.

They should just screen off every seat. If there's a chance a fan could reach over the wall and disrupt play, screen off the seats.

Man, the Giants tearing up the short porches at Yankee Stadium and CBP on the East Coast remind me how big Oracle Park plays where all these long balls would be flyouts. No wonder Judge hits 50+ routinely.

Alan Roden taking a HBP like a guy who just wants to get on base.

Pitcher throws well inside, he just stands there, doesn't attempt to get out of the way, and just takes it.

Arcia's lack of hustle pisses me off. Like, it downright infuriates me. And to just see him blow a bubble afterward like he doesn't get paid enough to beat out grounders is the cherry on top (or whatever flavor his gum is).

He had one earlier that was worse, maybe in Tampa? I think it was one where the SS mishandled it and he was blissfully unaware of the fact. Maybe someone on YouTube called him out for it and I can find it.

Even better is I like to see that he can put on a smile while his first MLB home run is still in flight and he starts running. Seems like a good kid.

Is any club more self-destructive with their lineup than the Cubs over the past several years?

They have a relatively fast MIF hitting above .300 and getting on base...at a better clip than everyone else on the team, save one man...

So they bat him 6th while the leadoff man flounders...he's a streaky doubles hitter that Ks a lot but has 25HR power...you'd think that's an open and shut 5 or 6 hole guy...but not in Chicago.

Reminds me of 2017 when they stuck with an ineffective lineup and turned KB into Soriano.

Jays pitchers have 19 strikeouts which is a franchise record, and just 1 back from an MLB record in a 9 inning game. Braves set franchise record with their 1-2 hitters going 0-8 with 8 k's.

Cubs and D-backs decided to cram about 3 games worth of offense into the last 3 innings of today's ballgame. Wild afternoon at Wrigley with the wind blowing out.
