I was saying it was a bad signing at the time, and his release confirms it. I'm pretty sure Mr. Rogers isn't too happy $900,000 just went down the crapper.

I don't see any team picking him up.

His fastball topped out at 92 during ST. This is the same guy that was touching 100 on the radar gun 4 years ago.

Opposing hitters were eating him up. Good riddance.

I would be laughing if his new team he manages to pitch 50 innings, strike out 60, and have a 2.00 ERA... of course that won't happen.

I think he'd be a perfect project for Leo Mazzone. The Braves pen is kinda thin anyway, wouldn't hurt to give him a look....

Poor Billy, I remember listening to him on the local sports radio station he sounded confident that he was going to come back and help the team. The Jays should have just sent him down or something instead of getting rid of him.

They should've gave him one last shot as a #5 starter, like he was in his early days, and see if he would've taken to more innings and less pressure.
The guy always talked(when he first came up) that he wanted to be a workhorse, lots of innings. Closing ain't gonna get you that, but I guess when you just want to pitch in the Bigs you'll take whatever is offered.

I say send him to ATL so Leo Mazzone can teach him a few things. Just look what the guy did for Alfonseca last year.

                            And Jaret Wright.

Exactly what I was going to point out, had you not beat me to the punch.

Koch could be another potential project for Mazzone. If Leo can turn Jaret Wright's career around, Antonio Alfonseca, John Burkett, etc., why can't he turn Koch back into the dominant pitcher that he was 3-4 years ago with Oakland?

This is only further evidence that Leo Mazzone and Rick Peterson are the best pitching coaches in the bigs.
