Going along with that, so does expansion. With all these teams, pitchers who aren't that great will get a chance to play. Also, back in the 60s and before, the mound was higher, which gave the pitchers even more of advantage.

As you can see, theres a lot of reasons for inflated home run numbers, not purely steriods.

Back to my main point though, steriods do indeed help you, you just need to have some skill before you take them.

Going along with that, so does expansion. With all these teams, pitchers who aren't that great will get a chance to play. Also, back in the 60s and before, the mound was higher, which gave the pitchers even more of advantage.

As you can see, theres a lot of reasons for inflated home run numbers, not purely steriods.

Back to my main point though, steriods do indeed help you, you just need to have some skill before you take them.

steroids with out a doubt help you hit the ball further. I have witnessed it first hand. Too bad they can't help hand eye coordination, just ask Jason Giambi.

dacuby's is exactly right. My Automotive techer was a professinoal body-builder. And he never used steroids. He has a photo of himself when he was at his largest, and he was big, but he said to get to that size, he worked out 10 hours a day, 5-7 days a week. And after working out he said he could barely operate the TV. There's NO WAY someone can get that kind of muscle mass, and growth, and be able to play 162 games a year, in a physical sport. ESPECIALLY at the age of 40+

I'm sorry for some of you SF Giants fans, Bonds used roids, just get over and stop saying he didn't. I'm sorry I know first hand what it does, I got a cousin who is on roids right now, and I tell him he's stupid and he will pay someday, but he just doesn't want to hear me. Plus I did a cycle of stuff like 6 years ago, I know what it does, yes I'm not proud of it, just please stop saying Barry didn't use it. My cousin Last year 2004, 6"2 195lbs, This year 2005, 6'2 238lbs, my cosuin is huge, nuff said. I'm sorry your hero Barry is a Jucie head and a loser for not telling the public that he used it.
