    Re: Bonds before and after

After reading all nine pages I almost forgot what I was gonna say. Anyway, the difference in the Bonds pics and the James Toney pics are the noses. Toney's nose is the exact same width in both pics. But Bonds' nose is much wider in the after pic. That's the difference in roid weight gain as opposed to cheeseburger weight gain. Your eyes grow apart. That being said I refuse to believe my childhood hero would do anything wrong. The end.

    BTW...me in '86: 70lbs.
    Me in 2005: 250lbs.
I choose to take the 5th.
The New England Patriots cheated to win four Super Bowls.

            Re: Bonds before and after

While what I was hinting at was just complete bogusness (and I hope you guys realize I wasn't being COMPLETELY serious), Bonds could do the exact same thing, and burn all of the fat in his body into muscle. While he didn't eat this much in one day (or this unhealthy), he sure has the workout routine to turn ALL of the fat into nothing but muscle.

Size comparisons don't hold water, I'm sorry.

I mean, I understand that he took the cream and the clear in 2003, but you guys keep going at his potential 2001 injections. That's what I'm going at with you guys right now.

Forget it. Why bother? Just makes me look more foolish every time I post.

                Re: Bonds before and after

Its funny. Back in 1987 I was barely 6 feet and 160 and now I am 6'3'' and 235. Not all muscles but I am a big guy. I need to lose around 20 but I would still be 6'3'' 215 and that would be fit. I never lifted weights but if I did I could carry another 20 pounds easy. I seen guys go into prison for a few and come back looking like the Hulk.

                Cant go by pictures.

Right on, I went from being 133 pounds to 170 with the same body fat % in three years, just from being dedicated and hitting the gym as much as I could. Thus it wouldnt surprise me if guys who have much much more time to rest, better equipment, professional trainers, their own dieticians and chefs and are just more gifted physically than I could put on 40 pounds of muscle over say 10 years(for example). I mean when it breaks down like that it's only four pounds a year (for example again). Now if a guy comes back 30 pounds heavier after one offseason it makes sense to start asking questions, but comparing pictures 10 years apart doesnt really prove much.

That being said...I still think Bonds was poppin' 'roids.

The only steroids Tony could have gotten would be the ones in all the Church's chicken he eats. Either that or he was putting the needle in his gut.

Right, but check out the reason I posted in it. Another one of the Bonds defenders was ripping on everyone cuz James Toney all of a sudden got HUGE and he couldn't possibly be on steroids. Said half of us didn't know what we were talking about.

Then today on ESPN they say that TOney has failed his pee test.

I linked the story in my earlier post. Believe me I know that no matter what for some people they'll always be blind to certain things, but I found it so ironic that in this case he used someone that actually is on the juice. LOL.

I never even saw your post. Funny how the Bonds defenders picked up the argument right where they left off like this was a current discussion.
