Yeah that really burned me, I've been playing baseball (off and on) for 15 years, been to probobly 100 Orioles games and like to think I know as much about it as just about anyone
...if there are no baseball fans in D.C. why did he cry so much about a team being moved there. Ah, seriously I was ranting all day about that B.S. quote, just like hey if the D.C. market is going to do anything for anyone why doesn't he just **** off and leave it be?
I've actually started generally boycotting Orioles games; couple years ago I realized that I just couldn't root for the team so long as Angelos was the owner. I've got tickets to one this year, cause I want to see Cleveland, but still...my point is that I personally am not buying tickets to O's games because of Angelos and especially because he essentially told me that I'm not a baseball fan and if I'm not I guess I shouldn't be paying him to watch his team play, now should I? I know several people who have taken this same position, so yes I do that think Angelos offending people in the D.C. has hurt his ticket sales as has the fact that the team's obvious weakness is starting pitching and nothing was done to address that in the off-season
