Yeah this year is going to be great. I have confidence in the Twins system of playing small ball and winning. I was so glad to get rid of Mags and Carlos Lee in return for Podsednick. I just hope those pesky tigers arent even close to the race. hehehe

Why is Texas so desperate for a closer? Didnt Francisco Cordero do a pretty good job last year or am I mistaken? (Or did he get hurt?)

Anyways, I doubt Mike Sweeney would get traded that easily. If healthy, the guy is a beast with a bat, and is an absolute hit (esp. doubles) machine.

Anyways, I doubt Mike Sweeney would get traded that easily. If healthy, the guy is a beast with a bat, and is an absolute hit (esp. doubles) machine.

Please B&F, trade Gibbons for Huff...

I'd rather get a pitcher instead of another bat. But Huff would be an upgrade offensively over Gibby.

I think AJ and the Sox are getting along just fine. He has an attitude, but thats what the White Sox need.

And a rumor coming from St. Paul MINNESOTA about a former and hated player such as AJ doesnt sound that true..

AJ isn't hated in Minnesota at all. There were pockets of guys that didn't like him, but for the most part, the team leaders such as Hunter, Jones, & Santana are all friends of his.

If you're counting on AJ's "attitude" to lead the Sox, you're in trouble.

And a rumor coming from St. Paul MINNESOTA about a former and hated player such as AJ doesnt sound that true..

AJ isn't hated in Minnesota at all. There were pockets of guys that didn't like him, but for the most part, the team leaders such as Hunter, Jones, & Santana are all friends of his.

If you're counting on AJ's "attitude" to lead the Sox, you're in trouble.

The Sox are better than the Tigers. The Tigers just don't have the pitching to contend yet. However, i think the Indians are a legit threat in the Central, maybe even more so than the Sox. They've got a powerful line-up, decent pitching and a decent bullpen. They could be a very tough team.

The Twins don't necessarily play small ball. They barely steal at all, and don't take a lot of walks. They've relied on pitching and defense to win games because that's all they've had. We still have the pitching. The defense is a little down this year (but still better than Chicago and Cleveland), but our bats should be much better. A full year from Mauer and Morneau vs. Henry Blanco and Mientkiewicz? Talk about a monster upgrade. Not to mention a better bat at SS (Bartlett vs. Guzman) and a more productive 3rd baseman (Cuddyer vs. Koskie. Koskie just could not stay healthy enough to put up the numbers over a full season) signals more offense in Minnesota. The real question is lack of continuity with the new faces. That's a hurdle they need to clear.

The Boston Red Sox are close to trading P Byung Hyun Kim to the Colorado Rockies for P Chris Narveson, the Sox are willing to pay $5.6 million of Kim $6 million dollar salary, the deal still needs Bud Selig's approval.
