Re: Stark of ESPN.com Picks Twins to Win W.S.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge White Sox fan and the Twins are still capabile of winning the division by 9 games but I still feel that they don't have enough 'Star' power to over throw the Yankees, Red Sox or even the Angels to make it to the World Series. Some of their best players who helped them win 3 straight division titles have bolted to other teams and it leaves them depleted each year with less 'Stars'.

Consider what the Twins would have been like if David Ortiz was still in their lineup? Or if they still had Eric Milton in thier rotation? Of still had Eddie Guardado in their bullpen?

If you ask me, the Twins have done an amazing job in winning 3 straight division titles while loosing these players. But they just don't have enough fire-power to compete with the upper echleon team in the AL. Just my opinion.

I'd much rather hear this than the "HELL FREEZES OVER!!! THE CUBS WILL WIN THE WORLD SERIES!" covers that a certain magazine put out last year. I'm sure the Twins will be good, but predictions like these in baseball don't usually hold up unless the predictor is lucky. There's just too much that can happen in this game.
