well since this is the first time in 41 years that the team starts 0-4, i think it is a little troublesome.. Matsui has to go.. he cant field for his life, either as a SS or 2B..

Re: 0 and..............
Jesus, I almost hate to bring it up because it is like kicking a dog when it is down, but that Zambrano for Scott Kazmir trade sure is looking worse by the minute, if that's even possible.
I still cannot believe the Mets did that deal. Even if Kazmir ends up being a flameout, he has more talent in one finger than Zambrano has in his whole body. On paper, that deal has Doyle Alexander for John Smoltz part II written all over it. Only difference is, Doyle at least won games down the stretch to help the Tigers win the division that year. Then again, the Mets haven't developed a really good pitcher since Dwight Gooden. It is hard to count Isringhausen, since he was just wasting away in New York.
Oh, and about Kaz, the Mets are paying way too much money to sit him down in favor of a run of the mill journeyman middle infielder like Cairo, even if he would outproduce him. They will give Kaz every opportunity to get it turned around.Comment

Re: 0 and..............
This start isn't really all that shocking. The Mets bullpen is still a mess, and their rotation isn't very deep.
The Mets went out and made 2 big signings, but they still have tons of holes. You just can't fix that much in one year.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

NYJets: I see you have the most overrated play of 2004 as your avatar...nice.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Face it, Beltran and Pedro aren't carrying the Mets to a season with 70 wins.Twitter
