Just for fun, three guys, who's got the best chance based on the numbers alone?
Player 1:
Born: '81
Career: 33 wins, ERA 3.48, K to BB ratio: 2.5
Player 2:
Born: '80
Career: 30 wins, 3.08 ERA, K to BB ratio: 3.9
Player 3:
Born: '79
Career: 45 wins, 3.49 ERA, K to BB ratio: 3.1
Of course it'd be easy to figure who these are through their profiles on ESPN or MLB.com, but that's not the point! Which one has the best shot based solely on those numbers above?Comment

I agree with you guys on Johan, Peavy, Mulder and Oswalt, its too early for me to say Harden though. I'll also add Carlos Zambrano, who keeps getting better every year, he was 16-8 last year, and has 35 wins at age 23.Comment

I'd go w/player number 1 - his K/BB ration is by far the best and he can easily pick up the 12 wins in two years he has behind #3.
So who are they? My guess is #1 is Peavy, #2 Prior and #3 is...Santana?
Not knowing exactly which is which I'd guess Santana because he just seems to be outright dominant. Peavy has been too statistically but when I see him I just dont feel that same way...though I've seen him only once. Prior looks like he is too injury prone to reach 300.Last edited by DGetz; 04-15-2005, 12:24 PM."Darth Vader doesn't cry, Peter."
