I agree with you, but the popular thing for awhile was to condemn Theo for that deal, though I didn't hear as much about it here as I did on WEEI.

Yah I remember most being in favor here. You're right about WEEI though. They hated the deal. Everybody was preaching the "you can never have too much pitching" theory without stopping to think that we couldnt carry 15 pitchers on our active roster.

And when Arroyo got off to a nice start against the NL and Wells/DiNardo didn't the callers just got even dumber. And now in August he's basically a league average starter again. I love how everything in baseball seems to work itself out.

          Pena: .304/.360/.500 158 AB 7 HR 27 RBI

Arroyo is still having a pretty decent season (though his numbers had he pitched in the AL would have looked worse), but the trade doesn't look so lopsided anymore.
I'm happy with Pena, but I'm not ready to say Bronson would have fallen off a cliff if he had remained in Boston.

He would have been an interesting option out of the bullpen, and a much better spot starter than the garbage of Jason Johnson and the like.

But looking towards the future it seems like the better deal, easily.

Schill steps it up for the woeful bullpen, and this happens up 1 in the 8th...

Tito gets bashed alot. A good portion of it is un-due.

Tonight, he deserves to be soaked in gasoline and set on fire.

                          Sloooooooowwww hook.

Watching the apathetic Royal fans wave their brooms would be funny if it wasn't happening to our team... after we dropped 2 to TB.
