I agree with you, but the popular thing for awhile was to condemn Theo for that deal, though I didn't hear as much about it here as I did on WEEI.

And when Arroyo got off to a nice start against the NL and Wells/DiNardo didn't the callers just got even dumber. And now in August he's basically a league average starter again. I love how everything in baseball seems to work itself out.Comment

Arroyo is still having a pretty decent season (though his numbers had he pitched in the AL would have looked worse), but the trade doesn't look so lopsided anymore.
He would have been an interesting option out of the bullpen, and a much better spot starter than the garbage of Jason Johnson and the like.
