Ya know, I wish just once the Pirates would be in contention before the end of training camp...I love baseball but now that Its football season th Pirates get left behind..I long for the Bonds,Bonilla,Van Slyke, etc. Days..I know they will probably never come back with the current owners but dammit pay some players...You have guys Like Zito saying they'd play here "Who wouldn't wanna play in that stadium"...Open up the F'n checkbook..How can the organization be so inept from top to bottom..Frustrating watching all these teams in it & if we were even around .500 games would have meaning...don't pay old washed up players your millions..Save the money from the Derek Bells, Pat Mears, Kevin Youngs, Raul Mondesi,Jeromy Burnitz and buy yourself that one player for a cpl years & build around him...Get your stuff together....I'm giving up my Season tickets, my Patience has run out, I've given up hope that our ol Buccos can ever come back around

Zito said that? I'm assuming it was at the All-Star Game. What I would like to see though is that if push came to shove, would he really sign with the Pirates? If they were to actually offer him a contract equal to say a New York/Boston/LA, would he really sign with the Pirates...

Another miserable season has come and gone. That's 14 in a row folks. Yeah, Freddy Sanchez won the batting title. But they still lost 90+ games AGAIN. Now I hear Ollie Perez is throwing back in the high 90s for the once hated Mets?? This franchise has it head where the sun don't shine and it'll be a long damn time before it comes out. Can't wait for the optimism of spring training, though. I'm gonna need a good laugh.

Yeah, It has been a looong time since Barry wiffle balled a throw to LaVallire(SP?)...I'm not remewing Season tickets unless me make some Smart Signings...Don't see this team goin anywhere soon, but I bet neither did Tiger Fans...I'm not comparing us to them cause well You still need talent & we lack in that area...Just wish we had owners worried about Winning, rather than the Bankroll...But Thats just hopeful thinking...Until we get everything in the orginazation top to bottom in order, were gonna reach 20 seaons in a row...And still be thinking about 92..

More like they're giving themselves a bad name. Torres is an excellent pitcher....one who can fill many roles in a bullpen and fill them all well. However, a 34 year old reliever for a 23 year old prospect who is still just getting his feet wet isn't going to happen.

Do you have a link for that? I can't find it and wanted to read some of their ramblings... Thanks.
