Is this season going down the drain? We have horrible pitching, I mean horrible. Jason Johnson, Paul Byrd, Bob Wickman need to go.Comment

Originally posted by DiceCleveland's season is definately going down the drain right now. The Twinkies are currently in 3rd. As a White Sox fan I'm actualy surprised Cleveland is playing like this. I said it last year and I'm saying it this year, Eric Wedge is overrated as a manager. Yeah, the picthing ain't what it's been and the defense is shakey BUT for them to be this far behind(15 games out of first) AND have the talent that they have is ridiculous.Comment

Re: The 2006 Indians Thread
first thing first... we need to dumb Johnson and call up Sowers who is tearing up AAA.... Secondly we need to get rid of Boone and bring Marte up, if we're going down the drain then at least we should get our top prospect playing time... I would dump another bullpen guy and bring up Andrew Brown who is deserving of some playing time... and also trade away Ben from first, and either move Garko there or put him back behind the plate and move Victor to first.
This really doesn't solve many problems but we need to get our pitching straight if we ever want a chance to be competitive again.http://flotn.blogspot.com

That's why here in Chicago I never give Dusty Baker a hard time because you can only do so much with the Cubs team that they have now.
Cleveland should have made it to the playoffs last year. It came down to the last series of the season against the White Sox and all they had to do was win 1 game. And at that time the White Sox had already clinched the division SO Ozzie had nearly the entire bench, with a regular stating player here and there, playing the whole series. And Cleveland couldn't beat the White Sox bench with their regular starters. Which shows me 2 things: 1) either the players on the team is gutless or 2) the manager.
I'm going with number: 2.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Well speaking of Jason Johnson, they designated him for assignment and sent down Jeremy Guthrie, and called up Joe Inglett (IF/OF) and Edward Mujica (RHP) from Buffalo
