Yeah, I really need to go to a Captains game this year, I love that stadium.

And I now have a reason to watch the Indians game instead of playing my 360

      Re: The 2006 Indians Thread

Something tells me I'm not going to spoil anything by posting, so lets look at tonight's lineup:

      1.) Grady Sizemore CF
      2.) Joe Inglett 2B
      3.) Travis Hafner DH
      4.) Victor Martinez C
      5.) Casey Blake 1B
      6.) Todd Hollandsworth LF
      7.) Jhonny Peralta SS
      8.) Shin-Soo Choo RF
      9.) Andy Marte 3B
      -- Jeremy Sowers SP

...Not exactly the lineup I expected to see at the beginning of the season. Despite the fact this season is likely lost, I am happy with a few things.

      - I really like Joe Inglett
      - If Shin-Soo Choo turns out to be at least close to how the Indians scouts seem to think he can be, I'd be very happy with the Sizemore/Choo combo in the OF
      - I am very happy Marte got called up sooner than later. No sense in making him stay at Buffalo
      - If Sowers can develop some consistency in the majors, I think we will have a better rotation next year (pretty obvious statement, I know, haha)

Now, back to watching the game...

Time to look for a new closer. "Big Papi" though has hit alot of walk off hr's this year and in his career.

Yeah, I wouldn't really base his skill as a closer off his first true save opportunity when he has to face David Ortiz

Always good to get runners in scoring position:

Hafner just hit his 6th Grand Slam of the year. 11-0 bottom of the 1st, 1 out.

So you don't think Einar Diaz and Ryan Drese are critical components of a winning team....

Almost my friend almost. Although I have to say that Shap has made some smart baseball moves this offseason. I for one am pumped over Barfield.
