Go Rangers.......

Man this thread is a boom town of posts. Now don't all answer at once, but how do you like the moves Daniels made this offseason. Also how about the outlook this year.

For me I think Brandon McCarthy might have a breakout year, but most of all I think if the Rangers are to win the West their outfield and Hank Blalock will need to come to the games this year. We've got the talent and some good pitching, plus the rest of the division didn't do to much this offseason. So maybe this is the year.

I just hope the Sammy Sosa thing doesn't get in the way of letting Cattalonato (sp?) getting his at bats, and Botts to be given a chance.

Any comments?

So we got Longhorns who apparently commutes from San Antonio to Germany daily and "Daknight" who has no location listed as the only Rangers fans. I have faith this thread will pick up...

Big fan & season ticket holder here. I'm hoping this will finally be our year. I think our pitching is much better and we have some possibilities for some great seasons from unexpected people (Sosa & Cruz specifically). I also think Kinsler will have a great season...I don't think we saw all he has to offer with his injury-shortened season last year.

Can't wait for opening day!

Jamey Wright is the 5th starter, and Kam Loe gets the long relief role in the bullpen. I imagine that by the end of May, that 5th spot in the rotation is Loe's.

Gagne starting the season on the DL according to the Dallas Morning News online (http://www.dallasnews.com/sports). Its not a heath issue, though, they just want him to get in a little more work before the season starts. He'll be activated 4/13.

the good thing about living here, the Rangers won't be the story, the Mavs will be. Hopefully the Mavs can get us through June and hopefully the Rangers won't be out of it by May 1st.
