THat is not a knock on your team. I am saying runs are runs no matter how they come. That is how you win games.

No, it measures offensive ineptitude, considering 6 of the 7 runs have been scored on fly ball outs, an infield single, and a bloop single off the end of the bat.

But whatever it takes to win, so be it. I'm simply pointing out that small-ball is an inefficient way to manufacture runs.

Once again, the Cardinals proceed to tear us limb from limb. They utterly own us.

I don't call leading 9-4 against the Cardinals "getting teared limb by limb"

The Cardinals had won 10 in a row against us before today (considering we hold on for the win), most of them by lobsided margins. If that isn't utter domination, then I don't know what is.

Furcal has 4 hits in 3 consecutive games. And surprise, when he's on base, we acutally score runs.

You have to be kidding me....8 straight hits for the Cubs. Wow.

Took 2 out of 3 against the Cubs, but the situational hitting is once again terrible.

Back-to-back shutouts against the Nationals....but surprise, Mark Hendrickson gets shelled like usual. He's awful.

                    When does Jason Schmidt return?

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, both representing the tying runs, with one out, Little sends Betemit in favor of Russell Martin to pinch hit and proceeds to strike out on three pitches. Pierre follows with a punchout. It's the same old song and dance stranding runners in clutch situations.

                      This offense sucks.

Oh, you mean the team that owns him? Great timing.

Derek Lowe with a no-hitter through 6 innings. It would be a perfect game if not for Abreu's throwing error.

Memo to Grady Little: Move Martin ahead of Gonzo in the lineup. There's no reason the leading RBIs man should be batting sixth in the lineup unless he can bat in the terrific Jeff Kent and Luis Gonzalez.
