I try not to get my hopes up too much at the beginning of the season but I really think that this year's team shows a lot of promise if they can stay healthy. Although unproven this early in the year, the rotation is one of the best in the NL and we're looking at an excellent defensive team. If the outfielders can produce up to par with the average team, the combination of average offense and good defense/pitching looks very exciting.

Leaving the Phils with a sweep after their WS win would be priceless. Good game today. I didn't get to watch (gamecast) but I will take a 1-2-3 ninth!

Mike looked a lot better tonight. Only needed 9 pitches, 6 strikes, to get the out. It was against all righties though, he is actually better against them. Soriano was a little wild, but only gave up 1 walk in an inning.

Loving the start. Obviously it's more about building confidence at this point. We have a stigma of being a bad road team from last year with no power, but we've been able to take advantage of the hitter's park. I'd love to get outta there with a sweep, hopefully Vazquez can continue the great pitching tomorrow.

LOL...yea...you're right we did, and that was actually when I was watching the game - since I was listening to most of it in my car on the Phillies clear channel radio station.

it was just more than I expected at the start of the season. I think we've had almost as many homeruns as the Phils have hits over the last two games. Hopefully we can finish it of with a sweep later today.
