Seriously? What is wrong with a lineup that looks like this:
    1. Kelly
    2. Kotchman
    3. Esky
    4. Chipper
    5. Francoeur
    6. Diaz/B. Jones
    7. Ross
    8. Schafer

How would you order the lineup with the group of guys that are healthy right now? Meaning no G. Anderson and no B. McCann.
Chipper has the most power on the team which isn't saying much but I would want a power bat in the cleanup spot. Escobar would be the best option to hit 3rd other than Chipper in my opinion. Kotchman at #2 isn't the best option but who else can hit there? Kelly can but then who would bat leadoff? Schafer? No, he strikes out too often to hit any higher than 7th or 8th. Francoeur is best suited to bat 5th or 6th in my opinion and I think Diaz or Brandon Jones should be behind Francoeur. That's just my .02 cents. Take it for what it's worth.

Was not Kotchman not batting in the 4th hole yesterday? Give me a damn break. He will never be able to accomplish anything in that role. He is definatley a 2 spot hitter...

I would take frenchy in the 4 hole over him easy.

He hit cleanup even when Mac had an off-day so Cox is like that but agreed - Frenchy would be a better pick. Kelly isn't a leadoff hitter and is better suited down in the lineup which is the biggest problem IMO. If we get a leadoff hitter all will be right in the world...

Mike G looked amazing in the save tonight, just amazing. His slider to strike out pujols looking was a thing of beauty. He was even hitting pitches in the mid 90's today.

THANK YOU MATT DIAZ!!! Back to .500 boys!

Jo-Jo meanwhile pitched a spectacular game...in fact the pitching, and for the most part the bullpen, has really come on strong.

its because we got rid of the never to be mentioned again Boyer

Something has to change in the lineup, Chipper was walked all 4 times.

Well Bobby's seen the light; Frenchy batted cleanup and did outstanding job. Hopefully, the good hitting will continue throughout the series.

Schafer is now batting leadoff and Kotchman was back in the #4 hole during the 5-1 loss to the Astros earlier tonight.

Schafer is a hard kid to put in the lineup right now. He's got a high OPB (over .400) mostly due to walks but he also has a ton of Ks...in fact he's on pace for over 100 BBs & 150 Ks this season (doubt it would happen but just for arguments' sake). I'm hoping he'll make some adjustments b/c most of his trouble comes from the swing & misses @ breaking balls in the dirt or that belt-letter high inside fastball.

Another loss, this time to the Mets. Vazquez gave up 3 HRs, man I wish he would keep the HRs to a minimum. I guess we have to take the good with the bad. He's averaging almost 12 strikeouts per 9 this season but he gives up too many homers.

This team is going nowhere fast. If we can't even take 1 out of 2 from a division rival I don't even want to think about what's going to happen during the remaining 8 games of this road trip when we face FLA, PHI, and NY again.

                            Great homestand. Very impressive.

The Phils are in trouble if y'all are looking for us to take care of anyone this year.
