Braves are interested in a trade with BOS for Penny. For some reason they want Francrap. They are stupid if they give anything up for him. There was a article in the AJC about trading him to BOS a week or too ago and the comments were great. Along the lines of take a bucket of balls, a grounds crewmen, etc.

The story about Penny has already been debunked. We have no need for another starting pitcher, we are already having to move talented youngsters to the bullpen (ie. Medlen).

I wouldn't be suprised to see us move Vazquez for another bat. I just wish we could pawn off Failcouer on some other team.

Way to go McLouth - nice debut!

Now put Chipper back in the 3-hole where he belongs.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Another 20+ scoreless inning streak for the offense. Chipper left another game with dizziness.

One thing that the Braves aren't doing is playing small ball. Everyone in the lineup except for McCann and Chipper needs to be bunting in practice. This team needs to start playing small ball and moving runners over to 2 with 0 or 1 out. Any time someone gets on 1st, it should be an automatic bunt. Bobby just sits there though and does nothing. He knows the team isn't good, but he isn't trying to change anything.

Its time to trade Chipper and maybe Vazquez. This team is not going any where and has some holes they might be able to fill by trading those guys.

It's going to take alot more than McLouths bat to get this offense going. 2 strait shutouts to the Brewers is ridiculous. I mean c'mon we got shutout by Jeff Suppan yesterday.

I hope we don't trade Vazquez. His numbers would be alot better if he got some run support during his starts. He could easily have 8 wins right now. He ranks 2nd in all of baseball with 93 strikeouts. We need a strikeout pitcher in our rotation and right now it's Vazquez. I say if we trade anyone for another bat it should be Kawakami. Other than that one gem he pitched against Toronto he has been mediocre at best.

Sigh...is there a more unproductive major league hitter than Jeff Francouer? A GIDP with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out to kill another rally....the sad thing is I predicted it.

Big-time rally for the Bravos....clutch hits by McLouth and Escobar.

8-7 lead, hopefully Soriano/Gonzo can hold on.

Edit: big win to avoid the sweep. We really have a chance to rattle off 10 or 11 straight with upcoming games against Pitt, Baltimore and Cinci.

Exactly what I was thinking. We suck against sub-par teams this year so I doubt we even sweep any of those series.

                          I will chime in here....

He needs to mix in his change up a little more. He was throwing his fastball too much and it got him into trouble.

Hell of a game by Chipper.

Chipper is on fire lately. I hope he can stay healthy enough to be in the lineup. It would be nice to get some production from RF. I have always liked Francoeur, but he's like 7 for his last 40 and not giving us anything at all at the plate with runners in scoring position, or anytime for that matter. I just can't figure out what happened to him. He is progressively getting worse.

Three-game streak going. Pirates calling up Charlie Morton to start tonight's game after they used Karstens in the extra-inning game on Monday. Hopefully our knowledge of how to beat Morton out-weigh's his emotion of wanting to beat his former team. I'd love to see us keep this streak alive.
