I would love to see them get rid of Moylan. He's been horrible this season. I cringe every time he takes the mound. I've seen rumors of a deal involving Penny for Escobar. Wren better not get rid of Escobar, and I'm not sure why we would even need Penny. Escobar's one of the few bright spots in this offense and starting pitching hasn't been the issue.

I'd hate to get rid of Moylan. He's still a good pitcher that tried to come back off of Tommy John surgery a little too soon. Next year he'll be back to full form.

I agree. He did come back too soon. He's not pitched anywhere near the way he did last season. I had actually forgotten about his surgery.

His mechanics have been messed up a lot this season - when he misses it's usually inside...I'm just sick of seeing 4 pitch walks. Moylan will have a string of 4-5 good outings then he'll blow up but he's in his 30's and I would definately trade him for Boston's Delcarmen or Daniel Bard in a heartbeat.

Big game tonight. Team needs a win after two poor performances against the Pirates. Hanson needs to be the stopper.

He's hitting better than Francoeur and hitting before him in the lineup.

Hanson got his 1st win tonight in a well pitched game. He got some run support, but he only gave up 2 in 5 2/3. Moylan looked nasty when he came in and got the strikeout with the bases loaded.

Mac was huge in this game - in fact, in his past 10 games he's hitting .371. Glad to see the glasses are working!

4 hits.....NICE!! Hopefully they can win again tonight and the Red Sox can take care of the Phils again, and the Yankees can beat the Mets again (although I think the Mets, more specifically Castillo, beat themselves last night). Kawakami has looked much better in his last few starts so maybe he can finally pick up that 4th that he should have gotten in his last outing.

No such luck. The bullpen blew the game for us. More specifically O'Flaherty and Moylan. Looks like O'Flaherty is starting to pitch like he did last year with the Mariners and that isn't a good thing. He has been very solid all year long up until this point so hopefully he can bounce back. And what can I say about Moylan. He simply isn't himself yet after the surgery.

How many games have the bullpen blown this season? Seems like we've struggled all season, or at least of late, to find someone to pitch the 6th or 7th inning before we can get to Soriano or Gonzalez. O'Flaherty has really faultered over the past few weeks after being lights out the first 6 weeks of the season. Our short middle relievers scare the hell out of me right now. I wonder what the plan for John Halama is? I saw that we signed him yesterday. Looks like he was starting for some independent league team with a 2.22 ERA for the season.

Moylan needs to go, flat out. I was glad to see they called up Acosta last month but Bobby needs to use him in more situations - he's got a good ERA but has been primarily used in mop-up situuations.

Wow. Bobby must have been fuming at Escobar to take him out the game...

Atlanta looked horrible today. I dread the 6 games against the Red Sox and the 3 against the Yankees we have coming up. We're going to get killed.

Anyone else starting to feel that by the end of this month we're going to be looking at being about 10 or 11 games back from the Phillies, and about 6 or 7 behind the Mets? It will be interesting to see which direction the Braves decide to go in the next 6 weeks as to whether or not they will be buyers or sellers come deadline time. After today and some of the things I've been reading as of late, I believe Escobar has just about worn out his welcome with Bobby and it wouldn't surprise me if he was moved soon. I would hate to see him go, but I have a feeling that once Infante returns, he won't be here anymore. He definitely has some mental lapses in the field.

I missed today's game (glad I did to)...what happened with Escobar?
