Escobar just seems disinterested. Joe Simpson was furious at him w/how he handled the throw from McCann on the Jeter steal.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Your best source for quality Atlanta Braves news, rumors, analysis, stats and scores from the fan perspective.

Looks like opposing teams aren't the only ones he's giving up hits to. The door is hitting him too.

Probably the best thing he has done for this team all season.

Even though we lost last night I liked the way we hit the ball. Having Prado hitting second and Escobar hitting fifth is a great idea. I hope we keep doing it.

It's nice to see us scoring runs but the bullpen has been bad lately. They better get things turned around quick with the Red Sox coming to town tonight. What sucks is that the Phillies keep losing and we can't pick up any ground, but the Mets and Marlins keep moving up.

Yeah you're right about the bullpen. When Hudson comes back in August I hope we use him in the bullpen because that's where we need the most help. Maybe we can get a trade that can further strengthen it as well. The starters are fine, except for Lowe of late. For some reason his sinker isn't dropping. The way the NL East is this year, I like our chances. We have to play better and quit underachieving.

Yeah, I definitely think we have to win the East to get in the playoffs and I like the fact that we're only 4 GB at this point. It could very easily be much worse considering our record. I don't think we can win the wildcard though so the division is our only chance. We do have a pretty darn good rotation, excluding Lowe's last 3 starts. I just wish we had better middle relievers. Gonalez and Soriano are pretty solid for the 8th and 9th, but we need someone to hold the lead or at least keep us in contention for the 6th & 7th innings.

The bullpen hasn't been that bad overall. What they are is terrible when we are behind. Just look at the series with NY, in the 2 games the Braves were behind, they were terrible and couldn't hold them to allow the offense to complete the comeback. In the game where the Braves won, they were great. Other than Bennett, they have been better than the numbers show. Its just that they all have given up large numbers when behind a few runs.

As far as the division, I'm torn. Its very possible to win it, its also possible to be out 10+. Either way, I want them to be consistent. I hate this back and forth crap because I know they can be a lot better.

I dont know, I'm starting to believe that the braves are playing exactly like the team that they truly are. As fans, we keep waiting for them to break out of it, but I have a bad feeling that they are probably playing about as good as they are gonna get.

Sadly, yes...I'm certainly disappointed in their play but I didn't expect them to win the division.

They didn't play with any heart tonight. The team looks like they don't care if they win or lose.

I'm disappointed with the latest trade rumor news. Apparently there is a deal on the table with the Brewers, offering Frenchy and Vazquez for Hart & a prospect. I just hate the thought of trading our only power pitcher, especially considering he's leading the NL in K's and should have 8 or 9 wins at this point if our bullpen and offense cooperated for him.

I wonder who the prospect is? Giving up Vasquez is pretty darn steep. Hart for Francouer isn't bad.
