    Re: Toronto Blue Jays 2012

I'm still a believer in AA as well and you're right the honeymoon is over. I like what they're doing in general for the team over the long haul. Interesting things came out of the Jays ticket holders meeting a couple days ago like Beeston saying the Jays are going to make the playoffs 2-3 times over the next 5 years(!!!!) and the thought of Rogers Centre FINALLY having a grass surface!

Still I don't know what Beeston is smoking if he's still clinging onto the 5 years max contract policy. Let's face it, you can't get the mega stars if all you're willing to do is go 5 years. I guess we'll see if that policy changes any time soon.

I like the make up of this team generally but I'd like to see them being more aggressive in free agency/trades. Oh well, can't wait for baseball!

      Re: Toronto Blue Jays 2012

I was looking at the projected BlueJays lineup for this year and must say, I am excited as hell for this year. Yes our team is basically the same on the field, our bullpen has been upgraded so much that it will get us 10-12 more wins in a season. People always talk about closers being the most important person in the bullpen, but I really believe the middle relievers are important as well. How many gams last year were we down 3 or 4 runs when the reliever was brought in and they gave up 4 more runs and we lost 8-5. If they shutout the other team, that is a win for us. 4 more wins from our relievers and 8 by the closer and we make the playoffs.

We also will have Lawrie for a full year this year and every player has another year under their belt which is very important when you have a young team like we do. Be honest, Tampa didn't win right away with their youth movement.

As nice as having Fielder would have been for Bautista, how do you bring in a guy and pay him $10million more than the best player in baseball the last 2 years. As much as people like to say AA had his hands tied, I think a lot of it had to do with his loyalty to Bautista. The Jays were not 1 player away from the playoffs, but the money they saved not signing Fielder had improved their bullpen to arguably one of the best in bsaeball, should everybody pitch like they can.

I love the Jays and plan on watching every game this year, and hopefully making it to Toronto to see a couple live games as well.

Anyone here able to answer some questions for me about the rogers centre?

Mainly.... Which sections in the 200 level are behind the foul pole.

And what happens if you get caught sneaking down from the 500 level into a 100 level seat(I wanna sit in 100 level, but not pay over $50 for cheapest 100 level seats. Though I don't mind sitting near the highest parts of the 100 level)

Well the Blue Jays rotation is set at least for the first week or so

Romero, Morrow, Joel Carreno, Henderson Alvarez and Kyle Drabek.

208-209 is the right field foul pole and 239-240 the left.

It isn't easy to sneak into a 100 level seats as there are ushers posted at the top of the stairs in each section. If you get caught security will likely ask you to leave.

28 innings for the first two games but some seriously clutch hitting by Lawrie and Co. Love the energy of this team. Of course that helps when you are winning!

I'd like to see the offense being a little more consistent but as long as the pitching is this good then I can't complain too much.

                    Great win today!

I agree. Our O is feast or famine right now so hopefully that changes. Morrow was on fire today though. Looking forward to see how he does over the season

Carreno tonight. I'm sure Brett Cecil wants to know why he is in the minors.

Bullpen an issue after Santos' yucky performance. Very encouraging start for Alvarez and the defense is stellar.

Bullpen not an issue. Guys have defined roles this year and they've all been great. Santos has been crap but its 4 games

Something funny I noticed. On MLB gameday, they use MLB The Show, and they're using MLB12, but it has the wrong Jays logo in it which makes no sense since MLB12 has the current logo
