I have heard a lot about how Rockies hitters face a weird thing where pitches move differently in Coors so they basically see different pitchers at home vs on the road and it drives their road performance down just as much as it boosts their home performance. Makes sense I guess, imagine having to watch footage on Coors Kershaw and then going to Dodgers Stadium and his curveball has another 4 inches of break to it.

I'm not anti-Arenado, I like his vibe, he reminds me of Josh Donaldson, who I'm a big fan of. It would depend on the package for me I guess.

Andy Martino doesn't know anything about the Yankees, that report is probably lies.
But stick with what you've been saying which is what's likely happening.

The Yankees aren't in on Arenado.

He's just the next pretty thing to dangle in front of fans since Machado is clearly not part of the picture.

Once Arenado asks for $250 mm, we will hear that the Yankees have their sights on Tatis in 2025.

Now that Ellsbury trade talks have stalled, he has plantar fasciitis and won’t be reporting to camp on time. Shocker that he’s still injured

Honestly I have warmed up to Manny coming to the Bronx and I feel that is exactly what will transpire now.

But I can still day dream about Bryce until proven otherwise.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

I was expecting it for a while but I don't really know what to think anymore, Jack Curry said the other day we haven't had any contact since the meeting. I find that unlikely but it worries me that the team feels the need to even put that out there. I feel like 8/256-260 or 7/230 with an opt out after 3 or 4 years is where it ends up. Gives the team protection against late 30's seasons with the length. And the player gets the chance to get back on the market in their prime, which would be good for us anyway because we want to keep flexibility as guys get into arbitration. Maybe they can add in something like the Phillies have where they can void the player option by opting into the rest of the deal so if he has a crazy first 3 years before the 4th year opt out, you just opt in to keep him through 34.

I think Bryce is still breaking 10/300.

Business is really good for the Yankees. The time is now. I am sick and tired of The Red Sox. We have a few years to worry about taking care of Judge.....we already locked up Sevy for 4 more years.....and quite frankley I am not a Gary Sanchez supporter. He turned me off in a big way last season and I say let him walk when we lose control.

Go get Harper now....pay him. Get that 26 year old left handed power bat into this lineup.

                  Now.

                  Win now!!!!!!

                    LMAO

                    From same guy:

Brian Cashman said that the Yankees did not discuss numbers during their dinner with Manny Machado. He added what he used to tell George Steinbrenner: “You can’t have them all.”

Just having a good time, sharing a meal.

Sherman in the Post says Hal set a 220 mil budget, and we've promised DJ an everyday role and Tulo the SS position. Not really sure how that works out, but Boone says he sees DJ as a backup 1B among other roles.

I watched this last night: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FV7XnosmyaU

Pretty good documentary, enjoyed it. It’s from 2008 so most people have probably already seen it. Tragedy that a ballpark with so much baseball history in it was simply torn down. Some people say it doesn’t matter much because they already ‘gutted it’ in the 70’s but I disagree. Can’t deny it didn’t make sense from a business standpoint but how could they do that.

Seen some people say it became a dump but I’ve seen people online say the same thing about Fenway. Probably would’ve needed more significant renovation that wouldn’t have been worth the cost business wise but I think it would’ve been worth it. Red Sox and Cubs have kept Fenway and Wrigley going all this time so it couldn’t have been an impossible task. And the Steinbrenner’s aren’t exactly lacking in money.

Would be cool for the Yankees to still have their iconic stadium as well.

My opinion is it hasn't happened in Boston or Chicago because they don't have one thing the Yankees had: an open lot nobody was using right across the street.

There were a lot of proposals to have the new Stadium in different boroughs or cities but all were nixed. No coincidence that the one right across the street is the one that happened.

For Boston or Chicago they would need to move the park away from the iconic area which I think is too ingrained in the city, the businesses, and the people.

This Hicks extension is kinda blowing my mind. He's anywhere from a 3-5 win player on a 10 mil per year deal. People may freak out about the term, but at the end of it he'll be getting what Brett Gardner is getting now. Assuming he doesn't just forget how to play baseball, it won't hurt at all.

Yeah and he essentially becomes Gardner at the end of the deal. I don't hate it. If we get 4-5 years out of it, it works out.

I see people comparing it to Ellsbury because of the years. It doesn't compare.

It doesn't at all. He could be worth 70 mil in value over the next 3 years. Then it depends on his decline, but it's not like 10 mil is impossible to move, it's not the Ellsbury anchor. Could potentially gain value taking over in left as Stanton transitions to full time DH. I don't have any complaints right now. I was worried he was gonna get a 5/80-90 offer in FA and dip.

Shout out to DY for trolling about him being as good as Jackie Bradley Jr until it came true. He spoke this into existence.
