It seems like ever since Opening Day, our team has been completely deflated. I think this win coupled with a home stand will get us back on track. And by the way, I am obsessed with a man named Pedro Martinez.

I'd just like to chime in, as a Braves fan, and congratulate Pedro on a marvelous performance today. I knew walking through the gates this would be one of the best pitching performances I've ever seen in person -- tops being the Unit/Maddux 4-2 masterpiece from 9/2/98 -- and it certainly didn't disappoint.

I agree I think that we will be in for a treat for the next few years when we See Smoltz and Pedro go head to head. I forgot what ining it was in when Smoltz got Pedro out and when Pedro ran Passed Smoltz they both kinda gave eachother a pat, I just loved that, I shows the respect they both have for eachother, that was just so nice to see. Great game though.

I think game one really took its toll on the team. Hopefully a very good win like today can turn into a nice winning streak.

I have always admired Pedro for what he does on the field. I haven't been this excited to watch someone pitch since Doc Gooden left.

As always, the braves are the team to beat. I hope we win the next few series and get this thing rolling. Should be fun...hopefully.

My knock on Pedro is that he seems to fall flat after the 6th inning, or 100 pitches, or whatever comes first.

However, today, he was pretty much dealing the entire game. He was simply amazing and hopefully if and when the Mets start playing meaningful games, he'll be dealing then too

Again, when do the easy teams come up? Houston next?

Are there any easy teams left? Glavine going today, he really needs to bounce back after that horrendous first start. Great to finally see a win today though.

I think you have to list out the 'easy' teams. If the Reds and Houston are great, well that must mean the NL central is all powerful.

I thought both were expected to contend in the Central.

Not the incredible, unbelievable, Roberto Hernandez.
