Re: Ego setting
I play with this team VS CPU on 55-22-50-22 EGO (BAT-RUN-PITCH-FIELD):
I've only played one game on 55 BATTING but on 50 BATTING I was getting more hits than even my good team CONTACT rating should allow particularly considering my "power timing" is not that good and I don't aim the reticle for even a regular swing. When I upped it to 55 I got 7 hits (two homers) in a nine-inning game.
I was winning about one out of three games on the old settings but that was before I tamped down the use of the power pitch.Comment

Re: Ego setting
Typically ill position the "arrows" at the corner and start my pitch and then float the reticule onto it....usually end up close to perfect accuracy, so getting that down is key in my experience.Comment

Re: Ego setting
Maybe lower batting a little (more chances for you get hits)? Especially if the issue is your offense more than them scoring a lot. Like you're getting 3-1, and you'd rather more 5-3, 6-4 type games."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Ego setting
I have pitching on 70 but I'm near the end of my season and opposing batters are frequently mojo'd up. If I leave balls over the plate they get smoked. Missing off the plate is key.Comment

Re: Ego setting
I'm currently at 75 across the board. This game is different than #1 for ego. That game I was winning 90% of the time ego over 80.
This time, hitting is not really 'harder', but I find it harder to get base hits. So I have a bunch of 2-1 games now. #1 I almost invariably had higher scoring games, so defense, hitting, pitching are more ramped up.
I'm thinking of lowering hitting even though I win quite a bit, but increasing pitching difficulty.
The problem with that is that I'll probably reduce my strike-outs to 4.5/9 territory which was a gripe I had with #1, but it's probably the only way to get more action and have each game be a bit more fun since I prefer offense to lower-scoring pitching duels if I had to choose between the 2.
going to try 70hitting, 80 pitching and report back. To me fielding/baserunning, there is no need to tinker as it's fine where it is and I don't notice a difference really.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
