Have about two hours playing handheld and zero issues. Well aside from the joycons sucking but that's not their fault. I really think I'll end up double dipping on the PC with this one as my daughter does seem pretty interested in playing.

When i ask if player stats are accessible, i mean are you able to see the stats for other teams players—not just on the league leaders display?

Seems to perform a lot better than 2 tech wise (no stuttering), although a bit sad it seems to have lost a lot of personality in its presentation, going the "serious sport presentation" in the menus and such instead of the fun cartoony-ness of 2. It's all a bit bland. But the action on the field is much tighter and better.

I get what you're saying, but I like it. I feel like they found a good balance between the clean presentation and the cartoonish player models.

Really like the closeups of the players and hearing their names. As far as the in game menus I feel like now it's a lot easier to read what's on there. Graphics are miles ahead of last yr. Awesome game.

Actually, you can. Under "My Team" from the main Franchise (or Season) hub, there is a "Switch teams" button, or you can press Left trigger. That takes you to a team picker screen where you can choose any of the other teams and see their team hub, which includes, among other things, the individual stats for every player.

Played a few 7 inning games tonight on PC. Was fun. I've not played this before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I do wish it was a little deeper, like hitting zones, or some more player traits I suppose. But in the end, the games I played were varied (got hammered one game, then a pitcher's duel the next) and were fun.

I did notice that my frame rates were all over the place. They'd be 60fps to start, then for no reason dip to the 30's. And then back to normal later. I also noticed they suffered with players on base. I'll have to mess with the settings and see if that can be improved.

How is the performance of the game on Switch? I’m finding on the demo that there’s significant frame rate dips when batting and the ball is coming towards you. Makes timing swings so so hard. Is it the same in the full game?

There is noticeable stutter on foul balls and such on Switch compared to Xbox One X demo and PC full version.

I had some framerate issues on PC. I turned off VSync, which helped a little, but it’s still stuttering. Someone on Reddit recommended turning down resolution until the devs figure it out.

I had no problems with framerate on PC. I'm running it on a Blade Pro 17 4K Late 2019 w/ RTX 2080 though. I've got everything cranked to max and it is a solid 60FPS.

Not playing this game before, when the ball goes into play is the game meant to slow to allow you to field, or is that also an issue?

I'll try turning down the res and see what/if any difference that might make.

It’s meant to slow down. You’d never field the ball otherwise.

It’s funny.. I just came in here to talk about how silky, buttery smooth this game is on PC. And I’m on 1440p and absolutely maxed out settings. I would be shocked to hear it is a game issue.

This game is just plain fun. Nothing much more to say. This has improved off the field and on the field in every way. If you’re a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed. If you hated the 2nd version, don’t pick this one up, it’s the same game we all love, just a heck of a lot more polished.

Edit::

If you are playing with vsync on, turn that off, now! Vsync will shoot for 60 solid, if you are dipping to say, 55, with vsync on, it jumps to the next threshold of 30. So you see 60 to 30 and back. With vsync off, you won’t have the drop.

Alright, I played a quick 3 inning game with the resolution turned down a couple clicks, and it held at 60fps. It's a much better game now with that.

I'd think I have a mid level PC. It's in no way a gaming PC, but it's not a potato either, so I'm a little surprised to not be able to play at my system's default resolution. Still pretty good with it down at 1600x960 or whatever it is now.

Playing the demo in PS4 and never played any other versions. Just wondering if you can turn the ball trail off in the full game and do others fund the bat on ball sound really bad ?
