No Issuses on Handheld Switch. Just Impressed how much fun this game is. Even its just more a „arcade“ game.

PC version already got a quick patch to address alt-tab and anti-aliasing issues. Hopefully helps with framerate issues.

Alright, I played a quick 3 inning game with the resolution turned down a couple clicks, and it held at 60fps. It's a much better game now with that.

I'd think I have a mid level PC. It's in no way a gaming PC, but it's not a potato either, so I'm a little surprised to not be able to play at my system's default resolution. Still pretty good with it down at 1600x960 or whatever it is now.

Don’t ever resort to turning down max resolution of your monitor. That’s where such clearness comes from. Lower shadow settings and crowd density to start. And turn vsync OFF. That is the cause of your sudden drops.

Started a franchise and played six games last night. Great gameplay as you would expect, the new refinements are really good. It’s very good at what it does, an accessible, fun game of baseball.

FPS held smooth for me at 60fps with all settings maxed at 1440p using an i7 7700k @ 4.8ghz and a GTX1070.

I’ve never been a franchise player when i play The Show, i prefer to use real rosters. However with this game I’m having a blast customizing my team to my liking, booting underperforming players ($8.7m power hitting third baseman goes hitless in the first six games? Buh bye) and tweaking away.

Playing the demo in PS4 and never played any other versions. Just wondering if you can turn the ball trail off in the full game and do others fund the bat on ball sound really bad ?

It's on purpose: bad sound on the bat = bad contact
good sound on the bat = great contact

I find the bat ball sound to not be as good as smb2, it has a bit of an echo sound to me, I turned effects down and that helps some. Broken bats are a nice touch.

Game plays as good as ever. I noticed they added the 3 batter rule for relief pitchers. I brought in a reliever who took a liner off the dome 1st pitch. I couldn't replace him until he faced 3 hitters.

Keep the impressions coming. Typically a game like this wouldn't be on my radar as I stick with licensed games like The Show, Madden, 2k.

The reviews of this game seem good though and I enjoyed the demo. It actually played a decent game of baseball it seemed in an arcade way. It was fun. Plus might be fun not having to worry about realistic stats and matching real life.

Just not sure how much the franchise mode would suck me in or if the online play might suck me in. Interested to hear about replayability and online aspects which I can't get from demo.

I've played 3 games so far. It's challenging, I left a pitcher in too long and had an inning snowball on me to the tune of 10 runs. The next game the opposite happened. I like the hit variety better than the Show. It's probably the best playing baseball game currently out, although not the most sim. I have noticed pitchers stay in too long and it seems based on stamina instead of effectiveness. I'm sure that will get patched. If you're a hardcore SMB player, it's well worth the price. If you're just casual and/or money is a bit of an issue, wait to see if it goes on sale.

for Franchise, you start out with a budget. I started 2 or 3 to see if the budgets are random and I believe they are. It has the usual sign players/release players and you can upgrade players. that is rather expensive though. There are a good variety of players and ages available in free agency usually 1 or 2 guys that are huge difference makers (and expensive) but unless you have a lot of bank there's not much incentive to go after the mid tier free agents.

Game is fun and great.. things to change or add. Some of the plays u see look amazing and if there was a reply system that would be amazing... i don't know about .ost people but my right thumb gets fatigued by trying to keep using the R stick to pick the pitch. I wish they would allow us to use the R stick or D pad. The d pad seems to very easy to select ur next pitch. Just my thought and if you wanna play a quick game give us an option for random teams... but overall very fun n super hard with the higher ego level

Love love love the game. Will get into a much better review with more time but just wanted to say what they do well, they’ve really stepped up the experience. Don’t let the cartoonish feel distract from the fact that this plays a pure game of baseball, much like the older style organic feel of say a High Heat played.

3 or more or more so 2.5 gripes I really wish they had included and do so for a future version that I really believe would make this game step up to the next level. First is a better interactive crowd that is more situational. Boo the away team, make them feel like villains on the road and heroes at home. It’s already there with the over the top style so use the crowd to enhance that, especially in pressure situations. It’s all set up for it already with the situational attributes, notifications, etc. Make the crowd finish that feel off. Right now they basically just cheer everything whether good or bad for the home team.
The second and half other gripes are surrounded by the stadiums. Give us more of them. There are a decent amount but I’d like to see double the amount especially since any other baseball game will have 35+ stadiums. There shouldn’t be a possibility that two teams in a franchise have the same stadium.
The other half of that and the biggest thing I really think this game needs and would literally put it in the next stratosphere is STADIUM CREATOR AND SHARE. This game just is perfect for that. Even if there are limitations, it has to happen. This game thrives on the imagination and customization. It’s the natural next step and a full price of 59.99 would easily be justified with this feature alone if done right. Colors, dimensions to a limit, style, background, location, vibe, etc all need to be given to us for custom stadiums. Disc space there is plenty of room left considering some games are at least 5x the size. God please make that happen next year.

Found a couple of interesting nuggets buried in the pro tips section relating to how the game changes by Ego level, and it kind of supports how I've felt about what SMB does under the hood.

"Contact swings generate less power as you increase your Batting Ego"

"Normal pitches are thrown for less speed and break as you increase your Pitching Ego"

So, I've felt for a long time (like, way before this release) that the only way to play levels above 70 ego or so effectively was to use power swinging and pitching almost exclusively - that the game simply got too difficult to continue using contact hitting and normal pitching. So now, finding out that the two "easier" gameplay options have reduced effectiveness at higher ego tells me that I've had the right idea.
