It really hit me the refs suck after that crap call on Allan Ray in the '05 'Nova-UNC Tournament game.

Off-topic: Pdiddy, since the other thread was locked, Shav was averaging 4 points and 4 boards. But when he started, he averaged 6 and 6 and a block. He even had a game where he had 11 boards and 4 blocks
Wow Shav has turned into a pretty decent player. I'm actually stunned.

I just find it odd that Zona has been getting a huge amount of ft and calls esp going for them, but no mention of it by anybody. Yet and I agree it was a huge miss on that travel call, but because it's Duke its a travesty, and the "duke cheats blah blah blah" gets started up again. Refs are terrible, and if the refs are in our back pocket why can't we get by the Sweet 16? And yes P2K i agree that call on Ray was well a huge call that I'm glad my team wasn't involved in.

That's the truth. I thought they seemed to be getting more FT's, but didn't realize just how bad it was until I looked it up.

Arizona's last 5 opponents have averaged a whopping 7 free throw attempts per game, with Arizona averaging 28 per game. Overall Arizona has attempted an average of 27.4 FT's per game with a total of 274, and their opponents have attempted 114 with an average of 11.4 per game. With 38 of the opponent free throws being taken by Virgina in Arizona's opening game. Take out that game and Arizona's opponents are averaging 8.4 FTA per game, with Arizona averaging 27.6.

In comparison, Duke is averaging 25.1 FTA per game, with their opponents averaging 12.9 FTA per game.

And just because I was curious. KU is averaging 22.8 FTA per game, with their opponents averaging 17.1 FTA per game.

Just some stats on a boring day for me. I might be wrong somewhere, but those numbers should be pretty close.

Although he obviously traveled before his move i don't have a huge problem with the no call. He didn't really gain any advantage and kinda just slid both feet about 1 inch. If he traveled on the actual move, then yeah they should call it, but moving ur feet a little bit while just standing there isn't a huge deal to me. And no I'm a Duke fan at all, I actually dislike Duke.

EDIT: The slide on the pumpfake was actually a little rediculous cuz that helped him get to the basket but everything prior to that wasn't a big deal to me.

Why should it matter if he gained an advantage or not? I'm sure the other team would have loved to have another possession with the ball. A walk is a walk.

Every post player gets away with a shuffle from time to time and its because contact is made by a defensive player.

If the "allowed" contact is overlooked then the necessary evil is to overlook the movement as well.
