And yet GMU contributed to an extremely crappy Final Four. I want the higher seeds to win, because simply, they make better matchups.I write things on the Internet.

Even if UConn beats GMU, it's still a crappy Final Four.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

We both know Florida vs. UConn would have been a terrific matchup, because UConn had the talent and size to compete with Florida.I write things on the Internet.

Exactly.
Last years Final Four just wasn't competitive and it had nothing to do with the fact a mid-major was there. Even the two games that didn't involve GMU weren't good.
Hopefully that changes this year.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Yet GMU vs. Florida was a whitewash of a game. Again, matchups between higher-seeded, more talented teams, will be more competitive and compelling.
I don't find it a coincidence these second-round games have been as good as they are because higher-seeded teams are playing: 3 OT games today.Last edited by Chip Douglass; 03-17-2007, 08:12 PM.I write things on the Internet.

Glad that Hansbrough is back to his old self now that the mask is off. He has definitely been solid so far."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Last year was the only time I can remember that I turned off the Final Four and championship games. Just uncompetitive, boring basketball.
IMO, having the top teams get there gives you a better shot at having great games.Comment
