Did you really call Pendergraph "P-Mac"? Anyway, I played against him in high school and the kid needs to shoot more. He shot the lights out in high school but now it seems like he just gets in there and does all the dirty work. He needs to step up offensively next year for the Zags to be contenders again.

If Nick Young and Gabe Pruitt stay as they should USC should be a legitimate at least Top 15 team.

            ESPN has Kansas State 16th.

With Huggins in WV, I see them being a top 20 team for sure.

UCLA is coming off of a second consecutive Final Four appearance and will add an immeadiate-impact freshman, Love (who will potentially grow into one of the best post players in the country), along with the best backcourt in the country, with Collison and Afflalo, granting he stays, which he won't IMO. Keep in mind we'll also be very deep next year (with Mata, Aboya, Keefe, Roll, Westbrook, etc.)

I don't see how you could pick against UCLA.

I'm also surprised to see the CBS guy say Spencer Hawes is leaving and has UW in the Top 20. If Hawes leaves the Huskies are a bottom 3 Pac-10 team, which next year is still going to be a quality team (NIT caliber).

Its crazy to think Arizona finishing 9th in the conference isn't very far fetched at all.
All Gonzaga needs is Daye next year. 6'10", can dribble like a gaurd, shoot 3s, and pass well. IMO hes one of the most talented players in the class but his body is not ready. He's incredibly skinny right now but hes working in the weight room everyday and will probably be able to add some mass by next year. If his body matures and he gets quicker and stronger he can be a legit lottery pick. I expect him to break his way into the starting lineup next year and should probably be their go to guy on offense come mid season.

If Young stays I'd put them in the top 5.

Sorry, but they lose Mallon, Raivio, and Heytvelt (probably). I don't care how good Daye is, he's not going to run the offense, play the 5 when Kuso is in trouble, and they're going to need more than him and Micah Downs to stretch a defense. They may beat up on the weak WCC next year, but this will probably be the worst Gonzaga team in 10 years (thanks to Heytvelt and Davis).

Austin won't play the 5 at all. He can definitely take games over offensively. At 6' 10" hes basically impossible to block and hes got really good handles.

USC finished in the top 16 and almost made it to the elite eight. Their highest recruit from last year is gona be playing this year and they get one of the top freshman coming in. I don't see how I'm getting carried away. Even this year they played UCLA tight each time and could have won both those games had the breaks went their way. If Young stays they're going to be much improved with Mayo.

Anyway, I think the Zags are going to stuggle mightily next year but Micah Downs could become a force in the WCC.

In unrelated news, Spencer Hawes is going to be a bust!!! What is he thinking?!
