What a way for my Hoyas to open up the Big East schedule

      @ UCONN
      Pitt
      @ ND

If they can steal one of those games I will be happy.

LOL, damn that is brutal. Too bad the UConn game is at the HCC/XL Center.

Not as bad as Marquette's final five games:

          @ Georgetown (ranked #20/18)
          vs. Connecticut (ranked #2/2)
          @ Louisville (ranked #11/11)
          @ Pittsburgh (ranked #3/3)
          vs. Syracuse (ranked #16/20)

LOL, this could be fun - trying to find the toughest five-game stretch of any team in the BE....

              Re: 2008/2009 Big East Thread

How about this six-game stretch for Rugters, though it includes an OOC game...

              @ UNC
              Pitt
              @ UConn
              Marquette
              Syracuse
              @ Cinncy
              Louisville

They play the #1, 2, 3 teams in the country three games in a row with the Top 2 team being on the road! If you switched Cinny and Louisville for that fifth spot that would probably be the toughest five-game stretch for any team in history.

If Louisville hadn't f'd up then Rutgers would be playing the Top 4 teams in the country in a six game span.

Thats what happens when you play crappy defense and have a slow start. Syracuse cannot keep on starting slow. SU needs to pull it together, good thing they have a ten day break now. I really couldn't have come at a better time for SU.

UCONN is tied with buffalo at the half, 32 all.

Syracuse got a scare from Cornell last night, looks like it is UCONNS turn.

This had the recipe for an upset and I was worried before the game even started. Price hasn't been playing well and Austrie and Dyson had to travel separately and their flight landed shortly before tip-off and didn't offer much, Dyson was 3-14 from the field and was out of control most of the game.

Hash bailed us out big time, 21, 18 and 4 blocks. Adrien had a nice game too with 18 and 7.

SI.com's Top 5 Freshman so far this season, three BE guys (Samuels, Monroe and Kemba), pretty impressive!

Dont feel bad, Syracuse pulled on out against a crappy team. All that matters is the W, but I could see UCONN dropping a spot or 2 in the polls.

This is going to be a classic season for conference play in the big east. Almost every team can beat each other on any given day.

Another strong OOC game for the Irish this weekend as they play Ohio State in Indy at Lucas Oil Field as part of the Hartford Hall of Fame classic( IU vs Gonzaga/ND vs OSU ).

So far this gives ND an OCC of Indiana, North Carlina, Texas and now OSU. Hopefully this will help with a tough conference schedule, the Big East tourney, and when seeding time rolls around. Luke is supposed to be back, but still should be a tough nuetral site test. Hopefully KMac, Jackson and Ayers can maintain status quo, as I am sure Luke will not have "game legs" after being sick for two plus weeks.
