Paint me shocked. I don't know how this WVU team wins games. They don't look good, but they find a way to win. Hustle and determination combined with stellar defense won the game. I have no idea how WVU managed to dominate in the rebounding department against a taller Georgetown team, but I'll take it!

That was a huge win for WVU's NCAA Tournament resume on the road against a ranked team, #14 to be exact. Now WVU is 14-4 and back above .500 in the Big East at 3-2 with wins over Seton Hall, South Florida, and #14 Georgetown and losses to #3 Connecticut and #10 Marquette.

EDIT: BTW, Da'Shaun Butler seemed on a mission tonight! That was a great game by him. Think he was out for revenge for that flubbed should-have-been goaltending call (IMO) that was committed against him at the end of last year's game in Morgantown?

I'm also surpriced with the rebounding job they did. Like you though, I'll take it

DAMN!!! I'm impressed for sure. WVU outplayed Georgetown in just about every aspect of the game tonight, much to my surprise. It looked like the Hoyas completely quit with about 3 minutes left. Tonight was a prime example of why Alex Ruoff is and has been my favorite Mountaineer for 3 seasons now. People think of him primarily as a 3-point shooter but he's so much more and definitely the most valuable all around player on this team. Even when his shot isn't falling he continues to play hard and hustle and make things happen whether it be with a steal on the defensive end or an assist on the offensive end. Big win for the Mountaineers and a great game for Butler for sure. He's capable of those numbers every night if he could only stay out of foul trouble. I can't wait for Sunday when the Panthers come to town. I liked WVU's chances in that game before regardless of what happened tonight. Now they have some nice momentum and confidence heading into that one.

I'm with Skyboxer. What's so funny about that? I think it's great that he's using his education and doing something positive with his life instead of being one of those guys wasting his life away doing nothing productive because he couldn't make it in the league.

As long as the Cuse defend the dome they will be fine.

What a crappy weekend of college basketball, what could you even consider the second best match up after UConn/ND?

                        I guess Memphis/Tenn?

                          It's either that or Baylor/Oklahoma.

It's only on FSN Pittsburgh, though, so I can't even watch it!

Yeah, 'Cuse and 'Ville are the marquee matchup this weekend in my opinion. Damn I can't wait for that game.
