I guess they could sneak into that fourth spot but I think sixth is where they'll end up. We've learned that ND is pretty much fugazi so Marquette still needs to beat a quality conference foe (not trying to discount their win at ND, it was a very good win).

I imagine there will be a couple of teams with the same conference record and tiebreakers will be used in that 3-7 team range.

I think Marquette will finish in the top 4 with Pitt, UConn, and Louisville. Granted they haven't played any of the elite teams yet, but they are winning the games that they should. As long as they keep that up I can see them getting the bye.

UofL and South Florida will play tonight after discussion this morning on whether to postpone the game or not. For those who don't know, the Louisville area has been hit hard the last 48 hours by a winter storm. There are numerous power outages, trees down, and power lines down, which made travel this morning hazardous to say the least.

And I am worried about how UofL will play tonight. Its been a hectic 2 days around here as no school for UofL the last 2 days and having to deal with the storm. Also, Freedom Hall will most likely be quieter than normal tonight as the weather will keep many away. I'm afraid UofL could come out flat and get themselves into trouble like they did against UNLV.

Well cb I sure hope they play and win. That way my Mountaineers can come to town Saturday and be the first team to put a nice "L" on that Big East record of theirs this year.

I was going to visit my parents in Louisville this weekend and go to the WVU game but they don't have any power right now so I'm not going anymore.

West Virginia picked up a solid win at home against Saint John's today. Da'Shaun Butler was awesome as he went 5-7 from three to end with 21 points.

With that, WVU is back to 4-3 in Big East Conference play. Games against Louisville, Syracuse, and Providence loom in the next three games, though, so that will be a very tough stretch!

              #23 Georgetown leads Cincinnati 55-54.

              #21 Villanova upsets #3 Pittsburgh 67-57.

              Providence upsets #15 Syracuse 100-94.

Just another day in the Big East!

yeah man, its horrible. I am one of the lucky ones that has power.

And I was impressed with the turnout tonight at Freedom Hall.

Marquette beat the three teams that pulled off "upsets" tonight. Everyone is tough in the big east, there really is no "easy" part of the schedule...

That must have been an epic choke job by the Hoyas. They were up 55-54 only to have the Bearcats go on a 13-2 run to win 65-57.
