Last season they beat CFla by just 3, SFla by 1 in OT, Cincy by 1. Lost to Providence. All on the road. The year before, they won just twice on the road, those vs St.John's & Rutgers. They are too good for the gym to make that much of a difference in the outcome.

Re: Upset Alert Thread
Is that really an upset? The SEC is garbage this year. The winner of the SEC West probably won't reach 20 wins.Twitter

A) Unranked team beat ranked team
B) Florida isn't in the SEC West so that doesn't matter
So yes, it was an upset. Not a monumental one but an upset nonetheless.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Upset Alert Thread
It maybe only one loss, but they still played poorly vs much inferior opponents. Just like they did w/Buffalo this year. Like I said, they are too good to have to sweat out victories like that. Even if it is an away game. It's a consistent problem that's going to rear up & bite them in the rear. If they struggle @ Buffalo, what are they going to do when they play the Zags in Seattle? In the BE, they'll have to play @ ND, WV, Louisville, Marquette & Pitt. Their play on the road may be the diff between a #1 seed in the tourney, BE & national. They've got to shore that up.-August 17, 1960Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: Upset Alert Thread
Eh I'm not concerned about it. All teams struggle on the road at certain points. Look at Pitt and Louisville's road losses last year, Pitt's were worse than ours and UL lost by double digits at Seton Hall. I guess as a UNC fan you're just spoiled right now.
Last year the team also beat an undefeated #7 Indiana team at IU, ending their 30-game winning streak or whatever it was, without our starting SG and 6th man (Wiggins & Dyson).
And we've always played to the level of our competition for the most part thanks to Calhoun's weak half-court offense, this is nothing new. I mean, sure we beat Buffalo by four but we did just beat two Top 20 teams in Miami and Wisconsin by 13 and 19 points respectively. We aren't going to be getting blown out by anybody just because the game is on the road.
A much bigger concern for UConn is that AJ Price isn't himself and that they still have an opposing perimeter players popping off for career nights on the regular."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Yeah, Christmas has arrived 12 days early in Temple. He's been in a zone out there ever since the second half started.
Meanwhile, Ohio State is in a dogfight with Butler. 51-all with about 4 minutes left in the second half.
