Yes they were, but you can't tell me that in general, more likely that "South Tennesee State" v. Kansas in a later round will produce a better game than say, UConn/UNC, for example.

He has for the past two years... don't see any reason why he'd stop now. He's not Terrence Oglesby who thinks he can hoist shots like the second coming of J.J. Redick with half of the talent.

Clemson is becoming a disgrace to the ACC. At least N.C. State and GA Tech put together some decent showings when they get into the tourney. Even worse that they lose to a Big Ten team, even though Michigan is one of the few teams in that conference who were underrated.

Gotta have a post presence to get past the first weekend in the tourney. George Mason had wide bodies in the paint and that's the only reason they survived that long. Davidson had a post presence as well on the boards.

American should be rooting for VCU if they win tonight. A 6'4" center isn't gonna cut it against the big boys.

But that's the beauty of the tournament.. whether it happens every 20 years or not. It can still happen. I mean.. let's just cut to the chase and have a tournament with the top 8 teams...

I'm not saying they couldn't. Of course they could. But that's why I prefaced my statements with "in general", and "most likely". I want the best chance of an awesome game, especially since I'm a casual college basketball fan, which I guess its weird since casual college basketball fans usually root for upsets to get interested.

Maybe not to the Final Four but...Gonzaga? Davidson? Western Kentucky? SIU? Bradley?

Point is, if these teams win they deserve to be there. They are obviously good enough to play against the big boys.

Just because you have the highest seeded teams in the later rounds doesn't mean great games. Therefore, I don't understand how anyone can't root for the upsets.

I guess that's all that needs to be said. If upsets don't do it for you, then I guess they don't do it for you.

To me, that simply doesn't compute. I feel March is all about the Cinderella.
