Your highest point as a college basketball fan...

Instead of immersing ourselves in negativity, let's think positive.

    For UCLA:

    - Winning the ugliest game in the history of the tournament against Memphis in the Elite Eight ('06); first Final Four appearance in over a decade.

    - Miracle win against Gonzaga in the Sweet 16 that same year, shutting down Adam Morrison and watching him fall to the ground and cry. Best of all, Gus Johnson going ballistic.

    - Double OT win against #1 seed Cincinnati in the 2nd round in '02.

    - Probably my favorite, upsetting #1 Arizona in the '03 Pac-10 quarters in OT, even though UCLA was going through its own 2001-2002 UNC type of year (11-19 on the year).
I write things on the Internet.

Highest point for me wouldn't be the title games. They were more feelings of relief. UNC was expected to win those games, so it would have been devestating to lose them.

For me, its those rare times UNC was an underdog & came out on top.

1990 UNC was unranked. But they swept dook by double digits & ousted #1 seed Oklahoma in the NCAA's.

1991 Beating dook by 20+ for the ACC title. Even though dook won the title that year, I just told the dookies who was the best in the state. I think for some of them, they would have rather beaten UNC in the ACC tourney than won the NCAA title. They just couldn't rub it in our faces like they wanted to that year. They let us have it next season.

1998 UNC put on a show @ home, defeating #1 dook by 20+. Jamison, Carter, Shammond & Cota were flying that night.

Haha; each one isn't necessarily of a successful season but rather an annihilation of dook.

The Wake/UNC game of 2003 of 3 OTs; Chris Paul was a freshman and really displayed his future potential and stardom...besides, it was absolutely amazing game.

Were we just talking seasons? I just thought we were isolating one moment when we felt on top of the world.

West Virginia beating Wake Forest in two overtimes in the second round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Another high point would be the first half of the 2005 Elite Eight matchup between West Virginia and Louisville, with WVU leading by as much as 20.

My low point would be later that game when WVU totally fell apart, let the game go to overtime, and just rolled over, blowing a chance at the Mountaineers' first Final Four appearance since the Jerry West Era, I believe.

My favorite moments came in UNC/Clemson games last year. It was absolutely crazy!

Clemson still can't beat UNC haha

                      Single Game:

1998 in St. Pete. I was at the game and received just a smidgen of redemption (although it would probably take more still to truly make up for the 1992 Duke game) against Duke as UK came back from 17 down to win. Then on to win the NC that year.

                      Season:

1996 season that watched the UK team go undefeated in the SEC to become the first team to ever do so. Also was loaded with talent with I believe 6 or 7 future NBA players and of course the end result being the 1996 National Championship.

                      Era:

1990's as a UK fan. Started off hard with probation and a new coach...Rick Pitino. But from 1991-1998 the UK teams were special, good, really good, or special and really good. It was a fun time to be a UK fan. Feels like we might be revisiting those days very soon:wink:

                          Ditto!!

I also remember the West 3-point shot off the glass to upset #2 seed Cincinnati in Boise in the 2nd round of the 1998 NCAA Tournament. That's a shot I'll never forget.

UNC beating Duke on Reddick and Williams' Senior Night. Nothing was better than seeing the look on those two guys faces after getting beat by a bunch of Freshmen in their last game at Cameron.
