Wesley Johnson will probably be a lottery pick but Onaku & Jackson aren't sniffing the NBA. I know you're hyped about your team but cmon man, it's not like the Cuse has had slouches in the past 25 years.

Mind you this is coming from a gtown fan.
If Onuaku stays Healthy this year, he will get drafted to the NBA. Jackson has another year to refine his game, but it would not surprise me to see Jackson in the NBA.

But this team is custom built for the 2-3 zone, probably the best defense I have seen them play since 2003. We will see how the season shakes out, but they have potential for great things this year.

Greg Monroe played like a man amongst boys last night. Good win for the Hoyas, they'll have a tough test against Washington on Saturday.

WVU picked up a 68-39 victory over Duquesne tonight. The WVU defense was amazing!

Louisville right now is a team in search of an identity.

The Big East has really taken some bumps lately. It's definitely a down year.

That said, West Virginia, Syracuse, Villanova, and Georgetown have looked great and this might be the year Seton Hall finally makes a run for it. Cincy seems to be back like they were in the Huggins years and USF looks improved.

But Louisville; well, they're definitely a shell of what they were last year it seems. That said, their loss wasn't as bad as it initially seems, though, as Western Carolina is 10-1. Their only loss is to #2 Texas.

We will see in a few weeks if Seton Hall is legit. They literally have not played anyone resembling a good team, but you never know.

It might be a down year based off the last 3-4 yrs but it's still the best conference out.

Good win for my Hoyas vs the Huskies. It will look good come tourney time since Washington will win the Pac-10 by default.

No way, the Top 5 maybe 6 teams in the BE are legit title teams, which is the case almost every year. Still the best conference in Basketball.
I'll give you there are some down teams this year compared to last. Marquette and Louisville for example.

Louisville will be fine. This seems to be par for the course given the past couple of seasons. Two a day practices will do wonders for this team.

You are crazy if you think there are 6 teams in the conference that are title contenders.
Honestly there is maybe two and that is WV and Syracuse.

I cant believe how bad UC looked last night at UAB, they just didnt show up.
I am telling you right now bringing in Lance was a mistake. I have watched every UC game and have been to 4 of their home games. You can tell the "veterans" on this team cant stand playing with him. Deonta Vaughn looks lost he cant stand how Lance has tried to be the "man", he has been the "man" the last 3 years and doesnt look like the same player this year.

Maybe he meant title contenders in the BE? I'm not sure but i'd add UCONN & Nova to your list. Both are getting upgrades 2nd semester.

No I am pretty sure he meant national title contenders as he was saying the big east was still the best conference nation wide.

I was pushing it with six, but Nova, Syracuse, UConn and West Virginia all have a shot. Hell throw Georgetown in there too.
