Eventually, not having him my catch up to them, but right now I think they are playing better without him than with him.Comment

All indications point to no Kev.......and that sucks. We need this game against your boys big time. We finish off with Gtown, UConn, and Marquette and have to win 2 out of 3 just to finish off .500 in the conference. The win a couple of nights ago against Pitt was nice, but we only have 2 wins against the top 20 and 1 non-conference win against a top 100 opponent. We will probably finish the season at 19-12(8-10)
NIT here we come...again( I hate you Brey)Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Why the hate for Brey? He pretty much put ND back on the hoops map which isn't bad considering it's a fball school.Comment

Because after nearly a decady Brey still doesn't realize that you actually need defense and athleticism to win in the Big East (and college ball in general). Same old ND team, Brey never adjusts his recruiting strategy."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
I hate coaches that look dumb founded on the sideline( because he is ) The guy recruits like he is coaching at Saint Marys women's college. His biggest recruits have been Gody ( because nobody else wanted him ) and Tory Jackson( Michigan Mr. Basketball ) and he has done squat. We have to play a certain style of ball because of his lack of recruiting well rounded players, and coaching ability. This program was back on the map with Doherty ( current SMU/former UNC coach) Matt knew how to recruit impact players. I will give Brey this....his recruiting class for next year 2 4 star, and 1 very good 3 star kid will go a long way in me relaxing on this guy. Brey recruits kids who can shoot 3's from the hot dog stand...but couldn't stop Jabba the Hut from driving the lane and penetrating.
Mike Brey....the guy who does just enough not to get fired!! He is the Dusty Baker of college basketball!!Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 02-26-2010, 11:43 AM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
Wasn't Chris Thomas a big recruit?
I just think it's hard to recruit kids to go to a football school which is what I think ND is. I'm not trying to justify how stagnant the program is I just realize that in the Midwest area there are so many better schools to choose from with better legacies and attention.
I don't mind ND being mediocre at allComment

Syracuse is continuing the tradition of Signing white kids that can shoot the three with Trevor Cooney today.
Cooney's shooting ability is what draws your attention to this rising junior. He has consistently shown himself to be one of the top marksmen in the 2011 Class. He shoots it with ultimate confidence with the ability to get on an impressive rollMy dog's butt smells like cookiesComment
