Louisville beat Georgetown College tonight 80-68. I was only able to catch the 2nd half. Louisville was down at half time, the Cardinals looked like a team that is looking for a leader. Siva looked good all around tonight he could contend with Sosa for the starting PG spot. Samardo looked solid inside had 20 pts and 11 rebs I believe. There is a lot of talent on this team but as a whole they are a young team. It will be fun watching this season.

I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Looks like WVU FR Deniz Kilicili will have to sit out 20 regular season games to begin his promising career.

My God, The hits just keep on coming for Syracuse. The Basketball team actually Lost a Exhibition Game tonight. They lost 79-82 to the Lemoyne Dolphins. Appearently Syracuse Is not the best team in the City Of Syracuse considering is a small college about a 5 minute walk from SU.
There is some good news though, The last time Syracuse lost a Exhibition game? 2003, hopefully there is a pattern here.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Haha, funny to hear. They were in my conference, I used to hate playing up there. Weird gym with the giant corduroy/carpet wall."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Haha, don't worry man it's just an exhibition. Didn't Louisville lose to a DII team last year? Georgetown of Kentucky or something like that?"You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Ouch.
BTW, how did a team in upstate NY end up being called the Dolphins?Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.

Well, Pitt didn't exactly run away from D-II Slippery Rock on Sunday, only winning 75-64. Seems like everyone is predicting a down year from Pitt which I guess is to be expected when you lose your best players to the draft. As someone else said, hopefully they make a run and go dancing again.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

It Happens every year, a team that has no business playing Syracuse beats them. Hopefully since this was does not mean anything they will shake the cobwebs out and play good to start off the season.
I cannot Imagine Jimmy B will let these guys forget this game anytime soon...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
UConn had their first exhibition tonight vs AIC (Calhoun's alma mater) who's also in the NE-10 with LeMoyne. Jerome Dyson, Jamal Coombs-McDaniel (frosh) and Donnell Beverly didn't play so some starters got a ton of minutes.
Kemba had a nice game with 28 points and 12 dimes, Stanley Robinson added 25. Won like 106-68 or something."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
