I'd flip it the other way, just because the World Cup only happening once every four years makes it even more special, but those are definitely 1a/1b for me.

Ever been to a world cup match?? Nothing in the world matches it.

Scottie Reynolds, you had a great career and I enjoyed watching you for four years but I wish you had played a little better in the last couple games.

But on another note: 1a. NBA Playoffs 1b. March Madness. Everything else you could take away from me and I would still survive.

I wish. I met the entire US Women's Soccer Team before the famous striptease world cup, but that's the closest I've ever gotten to anything World Cup related.

I still feel stupid for picking Richmond against St.Mary's after watching St.Mary's dominate Gonzaga. After the Richmond game I thought St.Mary's had a legit shot at going really deep into this tournament ( Elite 8 or even Final Four).

I was having this argument the other day and one of my friends really tried to say that the NBA Playoffs was the greatest event in sport. He said it was way better than March Madness.

I was having this argument the other day and one of my friends really tried to say that the NBA Playoffs was the greatest event in sport. He said it was way better than March Madness.

If the NBA playoffs didn't take 8 months, they'd actually be pretty damn good. The C's/Bulls and C's/Hawks series the past two seasons have been damn good (especially as a C's fan).

Just watch an NBA playoff game and this couldn't be more wrong.

NBA isn't a lose one game and go home tournament. Its you must lose 4 times in 7 games before your season ends, which means that a significant amount of the time, the better team is going to advance.
