It's just annoying as hell to me how they come out of nowhere...sick of seeing them all the time. They're like the kid that you and your friends hate that shows up everywhere un-invited.#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm really excited about the WVU/UK game tomorrow. I don't think WVU will win necessarily, but I think they certainly stand a chance.
Ashley Judd (UK) vs. Jennifer Garner (WVU) tomorrow, LOL. Or maybe WVU can counter Ashley Judd with Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines (who attended WVU for a time). I dunno, but Judd is clearly the reason UK is winning!Last edited by superjames1992; 03-27-2010, 12:47 AM.Comment

I'm not quite sure how Michigan St. 'comes out of nowhere' every tourney. They're typically always a favored team.Indianapolis Colts

Glad to hear people not throwing the "Cinderella" label on Butler as most people that have followed College Basketball for more than a week know that they've had a very good Basketball program the past few years now.#RespectTheCultureComment

The "luck" Izzo has in final fours doesn't share after getting there as all but one time he's run into NBA teams
This year he'll run into Calipari Wall and Cousins
Last year he runs into Tyler Han, Lawson,
2005 May Mccants Williams Felton
2001 Arenas Jefferson Walton
2000 had no NBA team
1999 Brand Battier Maggete
2001 Arizona wasn't even the best team in their conference that year. The 2005 "NBA" team lost to Santa Clara.I write things on the Internet.

2. 31-2 Stanford, who finished in 1st that year. People seem to forget that Stanford was a national power in the early 2000s before Montgomery left.I write things on the Internet.

Definitely. It's a nice storyline and gives the media something to write/talk about, but Butler isn't a fluke/cinderella. In my opinion, if Brad Stevens stays at that program for awhile, they'll be put in the same group as the Xavier's and Gonzaga's of the world as mid majors that really aren't.Indianapolis Colts

They're still a mid major though and are at a disadvantage to the big schools. They have a much smaller athletic budget and once their coaches are sought by schools from power conferences they usually take the job. Same thing happens to Xavier also, and its amazing that they can keep up the success they do with their small budgets and the constant coaching turnover.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Really looking forward to the 2 games on Saturday.
Kentucky and WVU should be a classic slugfest. And I can't wait to see who controls the tempo in the KSU/Butler game. If Butler keeps KSU under 73, then I can't see KSU winning.Twitter

Re: The Official 2010 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
Little note about XU's budget. I don't know if I would call it that small. Yes, compared to say, Ohio State, Xavier's resources are inferior, especially with what they can pay a head coach. However, the school figured out 20+ years ago that basketball could be its cash cow and dumps a ton of money into the sport. Considering the amenities the players and coaches have (gear, private plane for road trips or recruiting, etc.), they are on par with the top programs in the country. In fact, Forbes magazine had them ranked 15th in their annual "Most Valuable College Basketball Teams" list that just came out with a value of $14.4 million and $9.1 million in profit ranked ahead of Tennessee, Minnesota, and Michigan State. They are the most valuable from a non-major conference and one of only four that has seen their value increase over two consecutive years. So, if you want to know why they are able to have continued success, it's because they have a great formula to sustain it and have been doing it for a long time.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Yeah, their overall athletic budget is small though (I think around $13MM) but they spend $4MM of it on basketball which puts them along the lines of a lot of other BCS teams. I think they may have the highest percentage of budget that goes to basketball of any school, aside from Gonzaga.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
