Yep.

Within the 2000s, I'd probably rank this year's Duke team in the bottom half behind their 2000-2002 and 2003-2006 squads.

Agreed. Don't get my wrong, this is a good team they have but it's far from great. But they've got enough to win and the teams they match up poorly with haven't shown up. Maybe if they had played someone better than Purdue in the S16 they'd have lost with the way they played that night but they were better today.

They can only beat the teams that they're up against and that's going to win them a title.

I'd take this Duke team over all those Duke teams since 2000 except 2001. and 2004. 2002 had more NBA talent, but we had no answer on the boards besides Boozer, 03 we couldn't shoot, 05 no depth, 06 no rebounding outside of Shelden, 00 no depth.

Great run by Baylor. No one expected this, not even myself. I knew they could hang anyone, but I didn't expect an Elite 8 run.


They are only losing Carter and Lomers (unless Udoh and or Dunn go pro, which I don't expect. Although Udoh may). Carter will be the only loss really and they have more talent coming in than what they are losing.

Hopefully with the run another big time recruit signs with them.

For what it's worth. Baylor is still the only division 1 team to not lose by more than 7. LOL.

Duke will probably win it. As much as I would hate it to happen. They execute very well, play with poise, don't make dumb decisions, can shoot and make free throws, and have experience on their side.

This was my prediction before the tournament started...

As for the eventual champion, I have no idea. But, it would not shock me if Duke would win it all. What they lack in athleticism, they make up for in experience and intelligence.

I really hope that WV beats them. But, I don't see it happening.

OK I hate Duke again, God I hate seeing them win that game, they got all the damn vreaks it seemed at the end, I could see some going certain ways, but to call a tech on Acy, and nothing on Scheyer C'mon...

Reminds me when Sheldon Williams got in the face of I think a player for Florida State and hey called the tech on the player for Florida State. Let me start by Saying I like Scheyer, heck of a player and the shots Duke made down the stretch were nice shots..Williams and Singler are nice players also...that being said it seems like they want Duke to win this year, easiest bracket...get the play in game winner...thought that went to the overall #1 seed and Zueb should have fouled out even before that bad charge call that should have been a block and his 5th foul.

btw before the game I told a few people, either Baylors point guard or their big man would get in foul trouble....yeah just what I thought

First I said they hit some big shots down the wire...second tell it to the analyst who get payed to talk about basketball. They were just as surprised as most that Duke jumped to the #3 overall..it was between West Virginia and Duke for the 4th #1 seed...they had from what a couple people said and im talking about the professionals better wins than Duke and no bad losses at that time but if Duke won they would probably get the 4th #1 seed...but they got the 3rd overall? Jim Rome had a nice piece about that. Who picked Nova to beat you guys? from what all the guys I saw were saying Nova shouldn't have been a #2 seed cause they had a bad record down the stretch getting into the tourney and was said to be the weakest of the #2 seeds. Yeah I saw a couple guys picked Baylor to win...and?
